I love Hungry Girl, too! Her Choco Monkey Oatmeal, exploding Chicken Taquitos, Fiber One Coated Chicken Tenders and her desserts are some of my favorites.

All of her recipes seem so EASY! i usually buy companies coming. But i've decided to buy all of HG's books LOL they are just SO easy and do not ask for ridiculous things that no one has in their pantry!

Leanne! i can't wait for that one i pick it up tomorrow :D i ordered them in the mail! woot woot!

Kellost! i will have to definitely try the chicken tenders, those sound AMAZING

I have her 200 under 200 book.. I haven't tried anything yet, but I really want to! The sodium in lots of things looks really high.. do you guys count that? I am always confused on sodium.

I just discovered her blog the other day when searching pumpkin recipes. :)

Kelli, sodium is my downfall. I just can't seem to stay aaway from it. :( No matter how healthy I think I'm being.

I've been considering those books, but, considering my adverse reactions to artificial sweeteners I sadly think they wouldn't be very much use?

luciddepths 09-21-2010 08:40 AM

i thi nk they would be, she choses alot of things that are low in fat... and lower in carbs, high in protein. they really are great books!

I'd check a few out from the library before buying in that situation. She has a LOT of dessert recipes that use Splenda, etc. but so far most of the main dishes and sides I've made haven't used as much "junk."

I made the Buffalo Chicken Salad and it's BOMB! I love that it's only a two serving recipe, so I had some for lunch yesterday and will again today.

I also bought those Shiritaki noodles on Sunday. Has anyone used those yet?

spixiet 09-21-2010 09:36 AM

I just put a couple on hold at my library based on this thread...thanks for the idea :) I asked for the 200 Under 200 and the one with Guilt-free cocktails and party foods. Thanks again

The In N Out salad from Hungry Girl is a great salad!

I have been reading her blog and getting daily emails since seeing her cookbook in Target. What I've tried thus far I've really liked.

I have used them and they're not bad. Smell very funky but the microwaving is meant to get rid of that. Their consistency is a little off of pasta which takes some getting used to. But overall I'd recommend them.

I pan fry them for a few and make sure to drain and dry them. Im so used to them now!
