You experiences at the beginning, and todays advice! help.
So as you all know this weekend was a holiday weekend. For me, its not just a holiday weekend it is my daughers birthday too. We had a huge cookout, and I did well eating wise. My daily goal is to be between 1200 and 1500 calories per day, and on July 4th I ate 2200, and today I ate 1700. Will this affect me at all since I weigh 250 pounds (last time I checked). Also, I want to know from the maintainers what kind of results did you get in the first 3 months? I guess I just feel very motivated to hear from people who have counting calories and succeeded so I will keep going. I am already getting to the point where the motivation is lacking a little bit, and I need it back!! Oh yeah, any motivational tips that will help me stay in the groove?

Hi Tonya -
Chances are you'll still lose at 1700 and maybe still at 2200, depends on your exercise. But you'll lose much more reliably if you stay on plan. (And I personally believe you'll lose better eating whole foods and staying away from "the whites": white flour, white rice, sugar, potatoes.... but that's just my opinion...) Back at the beginning of May I was 255. This morning I was 226.6 - that was with staying under 1550 nearly every day the whole time. I had about 5 days over plan and never over 2000. I am fairly active, walk a mile most days, and often do a half hour on the Wii but I can hardly be accused of being an exercise fanatic. So that gives you an idea of what kind of progress you can make if you come up with a plan and really stick with it. |
