I said NO! And it feels AWESOME!

:carrot::carrot:

I'll start by saying I am a woman of organization. I plan out meals. I cook ahead. Or else something could go terribly wrong. :o (!!!) So, I usually make an exception when my husband asks me to. This demonstrates my love to him(as he knows how anal I am) and also, we work opposite shifts and just don't get a lot of time together.

Well, he was in town(where I work) around lunchtime and asked me if I wanted to 'get out'. (I have an hour off, but typically stay at my desk and eat and browse through 3FC.) I said ok. We went to a few stores and I walked around with him while he did his errands. It was sort of nice. Then comes drama time.

Him: I think I want Sonic for lunch.

Me: Ok, I will drive you over there.

Him: Aren't you going to eat?

Me: Yes, back at the office.

Him: You don't want anything from Sonic.

Me: No.

Thats it. Just 'no'. :carrot::carrot:

And we made a nice compromise of it as he came back to the office to me and sat with me in the kitchen and ate his Sonic, while I heated up some soup and had my fruit cup and water.

:)

Drama averted.

Way to go that's awesome! I went to Starbucks, this morning for my usual Venti Americano. It was free pastry day. When the girl asked if I wanted my complementary snack, I looked the girl in the eye and said "No thanks, I'm good." I did kinda want a cupcake, but the phrase was out of my mouth before I could even seriously consider giving in.

It felt sooo good!

Thanks! I am finding its easier if I just abstain altogether rather than try to choose something from the menu.

:)

I just don;t want to blow my calories on grease! :D

Great post!

As I was reading, I remember hearing once that saying no is like excersizing a muscle. The more you do it, the easier it gets.

Thanks for the inspiration.
