Made the switch

  • I've made the switch from WW to CC!

The first time I lost weight, several years ago, I did a low carb plan that (obviously...) was not sustainable for me. I gained it all back and then some (ok, and then 70... )

I've tried WW in the past, but I never stuck with it for more than 4-5 months at a time and never lost more than 20-ish lbs. I'm a little on the impatient side, but motivated to finally get the weight off. I decided last week to make the switch, and yesterday was my first day. I consumed a little under 1500 cals, felt like I got more to eat than I had on a normal WW day, AND broke a stall this morning by losing a lb.

I'm excited to be here, and just wanted to pop in and introduce myself.

  • WW is really just a variation on calorie counting anyway, so you'll probably find it very easy to handle CC. How are you tracking? I use Fitday and really like it!
  • I lost successfully with WW twice. This (and last) time, I wanted something as accurate as possible ( I know the variations in both body burn and nutrition facts) using the equation 3500=1#.

CC has been for me, easier, cheaper, and more fundemental. I appreciate it in a way that I neve did WW. Maybe because I am in total control, therefore total responsibilty, for my weight. It is also so easy with the apps on my iTouch. That and my very accurate tanita scale has made monitoring my body effortless.

Best wishes on what you decide.
  • Hi there! I love that Mary Jane pic!

Congratulations on the switch and hope to see you around!
  • Well said Karen. I feel the same way. Much more in control!
    Welcom to the board roxmysox!
  • I love CC - much more than I thought I would......and it's FREE to CC
  • I am loving CC too. I was kind of afraid of it to begin with - it sounded so restrictive. But I've found it to be the opposite, very freeing!

    Yay! Welcome to CC land!
