I'm up to 267 today. wth! :( gonna chalk it up to too much sodium yesterday and in desperate need of some TMI movement :p

At least I went up the day after my good weigh in lol

misspriss78 03-04-2010 10:46 AM

Good morning! Were all moved in and almost unpacked. Everything is great, the move went pretty smoothly!

Monday i did some yoga & yesterday i did a 3mile run interval. This morning i woke up dizzy and nauseated, my dd had a stomach bug or something Tuesday so i guess i got it. No workout for me today...

Were having trouble with our internet connection, hopefully i can check in tomorrow. Have a great workout/rest today and i will check in tomorrow:)

jdonato 03-04-2010 10:54 AM

Thanks everyone for your kind words about the trip. The bf saw what you guys wrote...he smiled and was happy. It was the sweetest thing he did and I feel very lucky and loved:dizzy:. I have a new goal to look forward to for this weekend. I told him I'm going to work on being binge-free this weekend. I can't remember the last time I went a whole weekend w/o going over-board...he can't remember for himself either. My weight is finally back down and I've even taken in more calories. I said 1400 but the past few days it was 1600. Why I'm losing weight is because I'm eating healthier, more smaller meals throughout the day and not bingeing at night. For my age, height, frame, weight, and activity level I can take in 1400-1700 and still maintain my weight. I keep telling myself one day at a time.

Thundah: YOUR BACK! I missed ya soooo much! hehe I hope all is well, you seem very busy and the scale will go down for you...if not...."it fell down the stairs!:o" lol.

susieyarb: only 5lbs that's amazing! You can do it! Good job on the Tae Bo...I heard that's really hard. You will fit into those jeans with no problem...kick some blue jean a$$ :carrot:

ShylahEQ: it's ok about the weight..it probably is sodium, i gain 3lbs sometimes just from a high sodium day. It's hard to find low sodium food these days. I wish you the best of luck!

jigglefree: Thanks for the kind words and motivation. You are so positive and so sweet. Good job winning the mental battle! You can do it!:cheer2:

fruitlady: keep it up, Day 2 is here and we can get through it! I'm here for you all weekend long if you need it.

NightAngel26: When i read your post about beating 235 I though of Michael Jackson's "Beat it" so I'm sending you a "beat it " vibe to kick major bootie :dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::club:

lori: :hug:I'm glad the sun is out and I believe you can make your goal. Either way you've come so far and have done so much for all of us. We can thank you enough for your support. Hope you have a wonderful day:)

julesp313: thanks for the info on the pad thai...I'll have to do some more investigating. Maybe next time order the peanut sause on the side and only use a smidgen.

misspriss: Glad your all moved in! I hope you feel better.

I hope everyone has a great day and Good Luck....

"Just beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it

Good Day all!!

I'm on it today. I have been sticking to plan with my eating and got my clothes to workout after work. I did really well yesterday with my workout. I was too tired to have my evening snack so I took my shower after dinner hung out with the fam and went to bed.

farn00a57 03-04-2010 11:40 AM

hello everybody!!! hope everyone is having a great day so far! I pretty much am! :) I have decided to not let this ankle get me down. I gained a pound in the beginning of the week, but lost it today. So I only have 7 pounds left out of 20 to reach my goal!! It's going to be tough, but I'm gonna go for it. I have been doing laps around the house on my crutches as exercise, bicycle kicks in the air, and other various exercises that don't put any pressure on my foot. My foot is getting easier to walk on every day. Still pretty stiff and a little sore, but I think I should be fine in another week. Which is great because I leave for Mexico the 17th!! yippie! I'm starting to think that I won't make my goal because I can't really exercise but I have been doing so well with my lifestyle change that i am not too upset. I know in my heart I would have made it if it wasn't for my accident. So that makes me happy. Ya never know I still might! The only thing that stinks is I'm getting pretty behind in school with missing class. other than that all is well, have been OP all week pretty much with calories and water. Just finding exercise to incorporate is the only obstacle. But hey i'm up for a challenge!! Well I'm off to start working on some homework and doing more bicycle kcicks!! haha i'm sure i look like a complete idiot, but oh well! :)

have a great day everybody and keep up the good work!! only 13 DAYS LEFT!!!!!! We are almost there, do NOT give up now!!!!!!!! You guys have to kick butt for me, if I can't make it to my goal, but I sure as heck am gonna try!!!!

julesp313 03-04-2010 12:32 PM

Mini vent! Grr. The scale is not budging. But I am tracking my food on my iPod and wearing my GoWearFit and I know I am burning more calories than I'm taking in. So at some point my body will have NO CHOICE but to let the flab go. I have noticed my clothes are fitting better, particularly my pants, and I am starting to see muscles desperately trying to peek through the flabby outer coating so I know things are heading in the right direction. I have to learn to not use the scale as my only measure of sucess.

Thundah - good to "see" you! Glad you're still doing well - I know the crazy life, so it's nice to see you posting when you can.

JD - but the peanut sauce is what makes pad thai sooooo good. I couldn't do just a smidgen!

Susie - thanks for the info on the "W". If you're looking for good jeans, try Lee's with the "no gap" waistband. I'm lucky enough to have a Lee's outlet here in Vegas, so I get them for $20, but they are fabulous if you're curvy (I'm a different size on my waist than hips because of my very generous butt and belly!). They come in really nice dark washes so they're very flattering.

KDM322 03-04-2010 02:25 PM

Wow, the scale is down today...was surprised because we were busy at work and I ate a late dinner (930) so I didn't feel like running at 1045...so I didn't get my 25min jog in for C25K and only did the WATP Power Mile before work...PLUS, on the way home, I ate a reese's egg (thought I had enough cal, but it put me at 1550) AND to top it off, DH offered me half of his little debbie swiss roll AND I ACCEPTED! UUUGH! (haven't looked up the cal yet--but it's gotta be 100-150) I dunno, maybe my body likes having more cal...I figure I'll wait til the end of March to see if 1500 is my magic #, but I figure I need to give it atleast 4-6wks before I decide LoL

soooo, I'm 0.8 from GOAL AND a NEW DECADE....plus, 0.6 from 50lbs loss since June 2008 when I was at my highest!!!! (wasn't very serious about dieting from Oct. 08 through Sept. 09...only lost like 10lbs) Getting ready to go WO before I go shopping...I'm wearing the same pants to work that I wore at 230 AND they do NOT look good!!! Need to find some new, smaller ones! lol probably needed them a while back, but they're just work pants and I didn't feel like puting the $$$ into them...but I think it's time...maybe I can find some at Goodwill (don't like to spend too much bc they can get nasty at work with blood/body fluids) AND bc i'm not done losing, but i may have to break down and just buy new....we'll see

Well, I'm off to WO....Good luck to everyone....**Here's to an awesome OP day** plus, Spring is just around the corner!!!!

Katy05 03-04-2010 03:15 PM

It's almost Friday! Thank you baby Jesus!!! I hope everyone is having an awesome Thursday wherever you are! It's a beautiful day here!

I weighed in this morning at 195.8! Woohoo! Keep moving scale! This means I'm 5.8 lbs away from my St. Patty's weight goal I set forth. Here's to making it!

I'll be back later to respond to everyone - a lot of woohoos to give out!

susieyarb 03-04-2010 03:17 PM

Krista: Oh my goodness look how close you are to your goal!! You are so totally going to exceed it! How fun to be so close to the 170's, oh to be so close! I went to Goodwill the other day and they had tons of scrubs, I guess that's what you wear since you get blood and , er'... fluids on you - ick. I know what you mean, though, about wearing too big pants. What once made you feel nice and trim now makes you feel big even though you are NOW nice and trim - crazy!

Jiggle: You are kicking booty with that 30 day shred! What I've read of it sounds scary and you're just doing it!! Glad you're back to your motivational self after your set back the other day. We all go through it, though so don't beat yourself up over it. Just knowing you made it through makes you even stronger! You're going to be OWNING those 18 nuthin's before goal, I believe and in those size 10's way before you ever thought!!

Lori: I'm so glad the sun is out for you. It's sooo nice here in Texas today and is supposed to be all through the weekend, I do believe spring is on it's way! I really think you will make your goal for your Daddy's birthday. But even if you don't get right at it, you have come sooooo far and I know he's got to know and be so proud of all the hard work you've put in.

Jules: thanks for the Lee's advice. I am going to have to try them out. You're lucky you have that outlet there, $20 is great! Don't worry so much with the scale, keep concentrating on those muscles peeking out and your pants getting looser - it's working. I'll bet those muscles are making up the difference in the scale.

Farn: I bet you will make the goal. Walking on crutches is hard work! So if you're sticking to your calorie budget, doing what exercise you can while sitting and just moving around on those crutches, you ARE working out!

Fruit: I hope your day is going well and that the scale wasn't mean to you today. Just keep up the good work and you'll make it through. This group is such an inspiration and support for me and I know they're all here for you!

Shyla: It's got to be a sodium thing if you've stayed on plan! I'd go bonkers weighing every day, though. I know it works for some people, but I'd be on an emotional roller coaster. Once a week is all I can handle right now.

JDon: It sounds like your new plan is working! You are so tiny now!

Miss Priss: Wow, you moved and still did your exercise - way to go! Moving is hard enough! Glad you're all moved and settling in!

Thundah: It's good to hear from you!

We are all going to make our goals!!! Less than two weeks to go, let's stay on our plans and do our best each day!!

Thanks for being such a support to me and welcoming me in!

zoochick777 03-04-2010 03:23 PM

Hey everyone. Just got home from the spa, the massage was AWESOME and I love the way they did my hair! I will definitely be going back to them for haircuts, massages, and mani- & pedicures. I'm feeling a lot better now and can finally talk again (although my voice is still really rough), but I'm coughing a lot more now. Then I had chinese food for dinner last night, so my weight was up to 177.6 today. Have to bring my cat into the vet today, he got either bit or scratched by another cat and it formed an abcess (which has ruptured and is very digusting). So hopefully he won't have to stay overnight, he's already very upset that he's had to stay inside the past 2 days.

susieyarb 03-04-2010 03:26 PM

One more quick thing -

It's my 2 month point of starting this new way of life. I didn't measure myself for the first time until last month on the 10th. But I'm going to start measuring each month now on the 4th. I measured again this morning and I lost 7 inches total!! So that wasn't even a full month's worth. I was very pleased!

I was super shocked that I lost the most in my hips and thighs!! 3.5 inches in just those two areas! I can tell my booty is shrinking, though! Now my waist needs to join in the game a little more!

Anyhow, just wanted to share that bright spot for the day!

I read on another thread how one poster has a pair of size 10's (my goal too) and she tries them on each month on her start day and takes a picture. That way she can see her progress from month to month. I think I'm going to go buy an inexpensive pair of size 10 capri's today and start doing that. I'll try not to get depressed when they don't come up past my calves!!!

fruitlady 03-04-2010 03:35 PM

yes, I knew I was going to gain another pound from that binge 2 days ago and I did. I did good with 1060 cal yesterday and 1100 cal. today. Now I usually will see a loss on the second day of lower calories. Let's see what happens. Now I have 4 lbs. to lose for the challenge.

KDM322 03-04-2010 08:34 PM

Back from my shopping trip...and boy, was it successful!!! I got 1 pair of black Banana Replubic dress pants (men's) for only $3 at goodwill..but, then I went to Fashion Bug and got 2 pairs of black pants for $11.24 each!!! WOOHOO...AND they're size 14!!!!!!! also at FB, I got 3 tank tops for exercising and they're only a size L! I can't believe this! These are the smallest clothes that I've bought since probably jr. high (besides the size 12 Gap jeans I bought last fall for my motivation...they're still hanging on the wall in my bedroom...i tried them on today and they actually buttoned AND zipped...waaaaaay too tight, but when I bought them they were atleast 2inches from buttoning!!!!) So, as you all can tell, I'm feeling really good right now!!!!

Susie--no, I don't wear scrubs--I'm a death investigator at the medical examiner's office...we're required to wear twill or cargo pants and button down or polo shirts...but like i said, I dont like to spend alot because i could possibly ruin them on the first day I wear them...also, CONGRATS on the 7inches!! I really need to measure myself to see progress from Jan.1

zoo--aaah, the spa! I've never been, but may for my birthday later this month! glad you're feeling a little better...sorry about your kitty

fruit--good job gettin back on track w/calories!!

farn00a57 03-04-2010 09:02 PM

KDM: death investigator? What exactly does that entail? Do you assist with autopsies and such? One of my majors is sociology-law,criminology, and deviance. I have really considered finding a job in a medical examiner's office. What kind of educational background is needed for your job?! Congrats on the size 14!!!! that is so amazing and I hope to get there someday!! so jealous!!!!! you earned it!!! :carrot:

susieyarb: I hope you are right! that would be amazing and yes walking with those stupid crutches are definitely a workout! I have made myself get up and do laps around the house .haha. And NICE JOB ON THOSE SEVEN INCHES!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoo!!! that is sooooo awesome!! congrats!!!!!!! :carrot:

fruitlady: it happens to all of us. You got this though. I know it. Own those 4 pounds!!!!!!!!

zoochick: omg I can't even begin to tell you how jealous I am of you right now!! A day at the spa sounds sooooo great right...about...now!! Sorry to hear about you cat too :( hopefully he's alright!

katy05: oh you so are gonna make your goal that is so awesome!! you have been kickin major butt too and totally deserve it!!

julesp: yes make sure you don't only measure your progress by the scale. That's something I have to remind myself of almost daily. It can be so depressing because a scale can either provide instant gratification or an upset....muscles weigh more than fat!! but i'm sure you know that, just keep kickin butt and the scale will have to change eventually!!! :)

You guys are all just a bunch of awesome chicas. Keep workin' hard and kickin' ***!!!!!
