How many pounds 'till results?

Hey!!

So I have been doing this since the 1st (30 days) I have lost 9 pounds, but honestly, I don't see any results?!

How long (many pounds) do you think it will take me to see results? OR How long (many pounds) did it take you to see results?

Thanks!:dizzy:

Me? It took close to 50 lbs. I'm thinking that given your starting weight you won't have to wait quite as long ;).

So yeah, obviously we're all different! But hang tight - because before you know it you'll be seeing it, feeling it, knowing it, loving it and reveling in it.

Congrats on the weight loss thus far, you're doing great. Keep up the amazing work - the noticability (not a real word, is it?) - it's coming, it's coming!!!

9 pounds is just fantastic! Congratulations! I'm sure you'll start really feeling and seeing the change soon, so keep doing what you're doing!

Not sure where I heard this from, but for me it seems to hold true. For every 10#s of weight loss you should be 1 dress size smaller. I just recently lost 10#s myself and didn't put on a single pair of jeans the whole time. But then 2 days ago I finally dug out my usual jeans and I definitely was 1 size smaller. Yay! Hope that helps!

Congrats on the 9lbs!!!

I still see myself as looking the same (after about 30lbs) as before. However other people have noticed and I can feel that my body is different. Clothes are too big, etc. The best way for me to monitor weight loss has been through pictures, every 10lbs I take a full set of pictures in just my underwear. Comparing the pictures from one decade to the next really helps me watch my progress.

I have dieted and been up and down. I have a hard time noticing by just looking in the mirror but after I had dropped 30 lbs everyone seemed to notice and I was hearing "wow Amy, you've lost a lot of weight". What I did notice about myself was this: My rings tended to swing on my fingers because I lost weight in my hands, when I smiled I had two dimples insted of just one because I lost it in my face and after about 15 lbs my usual, every day pants either fit the way they should have or were a little too big. Good luck!

Congratulations on your weight loss thus far! I've lost 14lbs myself and haven't noticed a change physically on the outside just yet but I definitely feel better. I know the physical changes will come eventually, they have to, so I'm just trying to practice more patience this time around. Every day on plan is a day closer to noticing. Go you!

Congrats on your loss!

I'm down 25 lbs and can see a little bit of difference myself in my face and my body. But so far, no one besides my mom has commented (and my sister, but only after I asked her specifically if I looked different, so I don't think that counts!)

I'm finally starting to wear a few "new" items of clothing (meaning from the back of the closet) but mostly still in everything I was already wearing. I would have sworn it wasn't all that tight but I guess it must have been if it still fits 25 lbs later!

Anyway, you know you're making progress, and at some point, the changes will become visible to you and others. (and you started out not that big, so I'm guessing you will notice pretty soon!)

Thanks!

I'm always asking my boyfriend, "do I look any slimmer??" Haha. So I need to stop asking and just be patient. :carrot:

It took me a good 20 lbs.

IrishRose 02-02-2010 10:06 PM

I definately think it depends on where you're starting from.
It takes me 20-25 lbs before I loose a size and about the point I drop a size is when I start seeing results.

mkyice 02-05-2010 07:08 AM

It takes me abou 20lbs. to see a difference, but the lower my weight goes the less pounds I have to loose to drop a size.

I honestly couldn't give a number for one reason- you look at yourself every single day. We tend not to notice because of that- we don't see the change as drastically as others will because, and i hope I am not the only one, but no matter how well you are doing, it never seems fast enough. The gradual change makes it difficult to see progress in yourself. Let everyone else be the judge on seeing the results. The clothes help too...fitting into something you had previously outgrown. That's the best measure of being successful.
