Default how and what time of day to increase my calories

Hi all

as per your advice i am trying to up my calorie intake from 1200-1300 to 1400-1500.

however i am struggling, i dont know what time of day to add more food and i simply cant snack on any more fruit than i am etc. my current calroe break down is

b 200 (poridge)
s 100 (fruit)
l 300 (ham salad sandwhich)
s 100 (fruit)
d 400-500 (chicken or fish with some carbs and veggies)
p 20-100 ( ice lolly or youghert) depends how hungry i am

so where do i add more calories? also i need some other snacking ideas preferably savoury (fruit gets boring)

any advice welcome.

much love

How about 2 graham crackers (that is, 2 sheets of 4 little crackers) = 130cal with 2tbsp of light peanut butter = 160cal. So that's an extra 290cal with both fibre and protien, plus it's kind of sweet so you feel like you're splurging. It also goes really well with some apple slices.

Personally, I find if I add protein to my snacks, that helps a lot both with getting the good calories in, keeping me feeling full, and boosting my energy. My snacks are often apple with almonds or cashews (raw and unsalted - don't need sodium retaining my water!) or egg whites (hard boiled) with a banana or pear. Nuts are very good for you in the right quantities, and egg whites are one of the best protein sources, and super easy to "make"! You could also add a small salad or vegs to your sandwich - carrots, celery, sliced peppers - and maybe some hummus to dip in? That'll also get more veggies into your day, which is never a bad thing!
