Your period week

Anyone else have a really really tough time on thier period week?

It's not even something I'm really concious of to be honest. I just eat more and have so much more trouble sticking to my calorie allotment. It's frustrating.

Yep, and you actually burn more calories during your period, about 300 more per day on average. Its a completely natural response to hormonal changes.

Its my TOM this week and I just feel like crying!!!! I don't think I've lost hardly ANY weight this week (we will see tomorrow during weigh in) and my husband was sick of me complaining about it because I was weighing myself everyday so he hid our scale :-( and said I can have it tomorrow morning.. so I have NOOO clue if I'm gonna make it to my goal of losing 20lbs by tomorrow

I just feel like crying so yes... bad period week always here!

I understand your frustration. For this reason, I don't weigh myself until AF is completely gone! I bloat up a lot, so I know the scale isn't accurate. Why torment yourself? Don't weight while on your period if it makes you upset.

I cry a LOT during my TOM... I just get so emotional about everything, especially my will power. It's tough!

I was kind of depressed, looking at the scale yesterday morning and it said 211. :( I knew it was period/water-weight, but it was sad as it was my weigh-in day. So I don't know how much weight I lost (or gained?) last week. I'll just have to wait until next week to weigh-in.

I love a bit of chocolate at TOM, though. I'm okay with controlling it, its really the only time I treat myself to chocolate.

For some reason, it's the week before I struggle with. I'm always ravenous and after a sugar rush, and don't lose any weight either.

As soon as it comes, I lose the water weight and feel fine again.

I'm the same way, and I am feeling it now! I'm soooooo hungry!!!!

I don't typically have crazy cravings (every once in a while I do, though...salty things), but I KNOW weighing in during that week is not a good plan for me. I even skipped my weigh-in day yesterday because it's TOM. My jeans aren't even fitting well right now, so I know I better not look at what that scale says or I'll end up single-handedly raising Ben & Jerry's stock price today.

Usually I have sweet cravings during period week. Unfortunately I had Mirena inserted 3 weeks ago and its been period week on and off since. I really need to stay out of the kitchen until my hormones resolve this issue.

This holiday week was also my TOM. The scale was not pretty:(
