Measuring has proved to be very beneficial for me. A little tedious at first but it becomes a quick habit once you get the hang of it. I thought I was doing the right thing by leveling the food in the cup or on the table spoon but it turns out it's still too much of a serving. So for example if I'm having yogurt with honey and walnuts I place my bowl on the scale and then measure in the yogurt. The container says 130calories for the 200grams that's in the container but measuring it out is usually more like 186 grams (this works in my favor :smug:). Then I zero out the scale and drizzle in 21 grams of honey, and then 9 grams of walnuts. That way I can accurately count up my calories.

There is no such thing as a little bit of this and a little bit of that when I'm trying to lose weight.

I could not agree more with Wannabeskinny.
If your budget is tight, check out scales on ebay, amazon and at walmart. The digi I have is PrecisionTouch, it was about $24 on sale. Weighing my food has made a huge difference.

I have been using Fitday for awhile and I have noticed that it is not that accurate on the calories within the food. Like a piece of American Cheese is much higher calories that what is on the back of my cheese nutrition facts.
