Oh, lucky! I wish my sister would have babies already. Mine is 8 years old and refuses to be cuddled anymore.
I don't know how I am going to deal with the candy situation. I can throw the left over stuff from out stash out, but my son has a huge bag of candy from his trick or treating efforts and unfortunatly I have to police that so I know where to find it...and I have no self control...and no shame...lol. I could tell my son to hide it and hide it well from me, but then he'd have free reign and I know him, he'd eat it all in one day and be sick sick sick...bless his heart he is just like his mother...lol! I've decided, candy sucks. |
I usually let my kids go hog wild with the candy until its gone. I;d rather it be gone in a couple days than drag it out. They never get sick...
However we usually only hit about 7 houses or so and this year we went with friends and did a lot more and came home with an impressive bounty. I still let them go hog wild and there was a few left today I finally said enough was enough and threw it away (aka up with the baking chips and stuff LOLOL!). They were using it as meal replacements a little too long for my comfort. |

I see lots of old friends and lots of new ones here. I sort of fell off the Halloween challenge. Life got a little crazy and hectic. The past few months have been riddled with weight loss/eating challenges for me. I've been having the hardest time getting 100% back on plan. I feel like I'm almost back in the groove. I realized that I am so much better when I'm more active on the boards. So...here I am! :D Thanks Lori for keeping this going! :hug: You are rockin' chickie....160s are on your doorstep!!! I am honestly not sure what measurable goals to set for Thanksgiving. I just want to get back on track. Keeping my calories to 1600-1800 per day. I am going to allow a couple limited treat days due to a couple special events coming up along with Thanksgiving. I will NOT go crazy, just enjoy w/in reason. I will continue to hit the gym 6-7 days per week. If the weather cooperates I want to get in at least one 20 mile bike ride (my best right now is 15 miles) before the cold, cold weather hits. I will continue my efforts to increase my jogging time. Just stay smart and focused!!! I've got to run for now. It's late and I've been staying up way too late watching the World Series...Go Phillies!!! :D Tomorrow will be another late night. Catch you all later! I'll do my best to check in as often as possible! Let's make this a great challenge!!! :high: |

My daughter and hubby will no way let me chuck it since I never otherwise buy it. We have to be strong :jig: Coolmom- I bought all the candy this year so it's all the family's favorites. None of little yucky candy that no body cared if I tossed or not.....Since my daughter has grown out of trick or treating I think next year I will just buy some cookies or something. |

I hear all of you about the Halloween candy. So far I have managed to avoid all but one piece. However there is a Heath bar in my dd's bucket that has been calling me. I wish she'd eat that already:dizzy:. I had a brief blip on my scale journey. Saturday and Sunday were not great days for me. I stayed on plan calorie wise, but ate enough sodium ladled foods to allow me to float in the bath tub;). I ate Olive Garden, pizza, and pumpkin seeds that had been soaked in salt water, sprinkled in salt, baked and then salted. So by Monday I was up to 210. That's 2 pounds more than I was!:o So I swore off pumpkin seeds, got back on healthy foods, and now I am back down to 208. Lesson learned. |

I need to buckle down today because my cals went a bit high yesterday. It was a combination of too early dinner and 4th meal per kids hunger and I couldn't resist. |
The candy is GONE. I got tired of it and after a temper tantrum involving candy last night I tossed it all out and we are just going back to the, if you eat your dinner, we'll walk to the store and buy you a treat thing that we do. Next year I'm putting my foot down with home many houses he's allowed to go to, and we'll sort out all the garbage candy first. Geeze, candy is such a pain in the arse! But at least its officially out of my house...now just to get it out of the office.
I made it to cardio last night, and thanks to a superfine silver fox on the treadmill I managed to stay on the elliptical for 40 minutes. Damn that guy was HAWT. If he would guarentee me he'd be there every day, I'd show up for cardio more often...lol! |

Lori - I've been great, busy with school work. I completely agree, the 170's are a pain. I had gotten down to 167 over the summer, then completely got off track once I went on vacation and then found it hard to get back on once I started school. We are definitely gonna do this!! So far this week has been going pretty good. I'm down 1 lb since Monday. I did really great yesterday, I worked out for about an hour and ended up with a 1004 calorie deficit for the day (. It is so much easier to keep track of calories burned now that I have a GoWear Fit. I only got in a 2 mile walk today, but that's better than nothing. I decided that Tuesdays and Thursdays will be my off days for exercise since I'm off on weekends now. Time for me to get some school assignments done. Hope everyone has a great day! |
Lori, congrats on your weight loss!!! Buying new clothes is always a good sign... I'm trying to slow down my weight loss a little so that I can go shopping when I go home to my family for thanksgiving... and still meet my mini goal (with my larger goal a WIP!). 140 was my Halloween goal... but I can't wait to reach it by Thanksgiving!!

Good day here! Food choices were wise. I got in about an hour of weights. Still debating on what my evening snack is going to be. I'll be up for a while watching the World Series (Go Phillies!) so I'm going to put the kids to bed and find something yummy and healthy. Plenty of calories left today. Losing...Thank you! In arizona Fit Perfect~I love how they fit~but will not last long ~LOL~I usually need a new size every month! I do have some size 8's ready though as soon as these ones get to big. EVERYONE ELSE~Hope all is going well for you. As far as me today.............Went to pay bills....Lots of errands.....Got me the 1 pair of jeans at the thrift store( Yes I only got 1 pair because I was being picky LOL!) I also got a new beret/cap type hat & Some new headbands & a new necklace & matching earrings~Just cheapy stuff But Fun to shop.I LOVE HATS & HEADBANDS & ALL SILVER JEWELRY! I stayed on plan with my calories & So I am pretty happy with my day. COME ON 160's!!! Seriously a couple years ago after I starting on my diet, I had a lot of dental work done. My mouth was in very sad shape. Coincidentally I did lose a lot of weight while most of the major work was being done and I was healing from it. I do not however reccommend this as a weight loss method! :lol: |
