I'm new, and I have had success counting cals before!

  • I once lost forty pounds counting calories and paying attention to portion size. Then I had twins! lol I recentlty stoped breast feeding and am ready to get back in the swing of things.

I was wondering, what kind of tools do you guys used to keep track? I used to just use paper, then I switched to spark people.
  • I use sparkpeople as well and love it.

Welcome to 3FC and good luck with your goals.

    Hugs
    Michelle
  • I use The Daily Plate. When I first started out I had my own spreadsheet.

    Welcome!
  • I use fitday. It works well for me, but this is my first time calorie counting so I have not checked others out there.
  • Welcome! I use spark people as well.

How old are your twins? I have an 8 month old and 2 1/2 year old.
  • Welcome!! I use fitday but really like livestrong. I would switch but I feel like 2 weeks of food input in fitday is too much to switch over or lose. lol

Good luck with your weight loss! This is a great site! =)
  • i use myfitnesspal
  • Heater the twins are 7 months! I also have a 3yo and a 4 yo
  • Well. you really have your hands full. I am a calorie counter, too. I use the trusty pen and paper method , mainly because I can do it anytime anywhere. Do what works best for you.
  • I write it down in my little book. That way I can keep it in my purse and take it wherever I go.
  • I have a body bugg and I use their program!
  • I plan a day ahead using good ol' school paper in a 3-ring binder. Gives me something to do with my hands besides eat.
  • I like using the paper and pen method too. I can carry my little notebook with me and I also write other things in it like grocery lists and poems.
  • Yeah I really do like paper, I will probably end up keeping some sort of notebook to carry around with me and then transfer it to some thing fancier ^^
  • Aww 7 month old twins! You have your hands full

My 8 month old is all over the place already! LOL
