Salt/Pepper, Spices, Herbs
How do I calorie count for these?
I put herbs on just about anything I eat. I use some spices but they are mainly spices that dont contain any salt. I use LOTS of pepper ... and very little salt. |
You don't! I never count spices. They contain too few calories to make any difference.

That's easy for me - I don't count their calories at all. Seriously their calorie count is so miniscule that I don't bother. And however many calories they add doesn't even compare to the flavor and nutrition they provide. One tbsp of chopped parlsey (3.8 grams) for example is 1 calorie. Even if I put a whole cup of parsley in my food it's 22 calories. Sprinkle away my dear, have no fear.

The only one I use is garlic powder (not salt), and I don't count it at all. I think pepper is about 5 calories per teaspoon, so overall I wouldn't worry about counting any. :)
