  • Can anyone recommend a good alternative to dailyplate? I just found out that it's associated with Lance Armstrong's organization, and I prefer not to support him.

  • I use Sparkpeople and I love it, the support forums are great too. There is also Fitday, which is really good as well.
  • Do you mind if I ask why not support him? I may not be up on something that I should know.
  • I know he's inspiring to many people, but I think he's an overrated d-bag. He has always struck me as rather full of himself and I lost all respect for him when he abandoned his wife and little children to fool around with Sheryl Crow. As a former cancer patient myself, it saddened me to see him betray the trust of his wife after she had stood by him through all of that. I don't wish to support a marketing/lifestyle campaign named "Live Strong" that is based on someone who I find shallow and untrustworthy
  • I use fitday, have for years! It's very straightforward and free.
  • I also use FitDay and Sparkpeople. But I use FitDay for my food tracking, and Sparkpeople for other things.
  • Do any of these other sites let you track sodium? That's a big part of my plan. I hate Lance Armstrong, too, but as I haven't found any alternative, I use that site as well.
  • I like the software from Calorie King. It goes on your computer so you don't have to be online. It has a HUGE amount of food in the database and it lets you choose what you want to track
  • I use sparkpeople and yes you can track sodium. you chose what you ant to track after the 'basics' are already laid out for you.

    Wow. Were you involved in their divorce? I think alot of your views are based on tabloids speculation and not on facts.

    I am with you - just have no use for men (or women) who abandon their families (usually to chase a younger piece of a**) - plenty of athletes and celebrities fall into this category. I love the Yankees but despise Alex Rodriguez (dirtbag extraordinaire - I never liked Madonna so no loss there, but I truly feel sorry for her husband and kids. But maybe Guy Richie should have known better anyway).

    There are really too many to name. Anyway, kudos for standing by your convictions.

    I feel the same way, so it is great that you are sticking to your convictions.
  • Sparkpeople and Fitday are two I have used. I just recently started using Sparkpeople again. I also have a program on my computer called Weight by Date.

  • For counting calories and nutrition I really like nutritiondata.com or webmd.com. webmd lets you track exercise also. I stick to nutitiondata because I track each type of fat including omega3's ...and the different amino-acids since I'm not eating meat or eggs most days.

  • I am in the minority here and I use caloriecount.about.com. It's simple, easy to use, has lots of brand and restaurant foods, and tracks all of my nutrition needs!
