Default #!@& $#! Period - a vent

I was eating careful and actually today and just HAD to have some raspberry filled ghiradelli dark chocolate. And I haven't exercised since Thursday.

Why does my desire to eat well go to crap when I'm punctuating?!?!? (that's what hubby calls it...heehee)

I MUST go for a run tonight. MUST MUST MUST.

Its very normal. Most women get cravings for comfort foods during TOM. I always have dark chocolate during TOM its just something I need! I budget for it, count it as inevitable and move on.

Actually somone just posted a link to an article in the 100+ group quoting a study they did that says your metabolism goes up the week before your period which is why you tend to be extra hungry. I believe it. :P I've been craving chocolate cake like nobody's business but I made myself a deal that if I could last until today I could have some of my dad's birthday cake. WOOT!

I always crave chocolate then. Has anyone else tried the Hershey's Special Dark cocoa powder? I made hot chocolate with it last night and it was great. The color does look a bit funny, but tastes like the "Special" chocolate bars.

I loooooove my raspberry filled Ghirardelli and eat it almost every day. Just try to budget it in. And that bit of chocolate won't ruin you, jump back on the horse tomorrow and you'll be fine

I never crave chocolate because of my period (sometimes this makes me feel like an abnormal woman!). However, last week, I went nutso and ate a HUGE order of fries and the majority of a pizza (clearly, I also post in the chicks in control section). I felt a bit better about the whole thing when I realized part of the problem was PMS. At least I'll be more prepared next time it hits!

i have to have my giardelli dark chocolate chips. They are part of the MUFA plan so I don't sweat it. 16 chips is also only 80 cs and 8 carbs.

I don't crave specific foods, I crave everything! When I have mild cramps (Motrin gets rid of the awful ones, but low-level, mild ones remain) I feel like I have hunger pangs and just can't get my mind off food. I'll eat anything, but I have to be eating. Last period I ate like a crazy woman. I kept getting snacks. I made myself like two salads and I had a yogurt and I had cheese and I.. I just couldn't stop. It was hard to go more than 2 hours without eating, and usually I can go 6 hours no problem. I guess I won't complain though, because I don't crave any sort of food, I just feel like I'm hungry and will eat ANYTHING, so I tend to aim for healthy foods to satisfy this.
