Well, not only was it a holiday buy my parents took our 4 kids camping for the weekend..they left thursday and came back snday morning..so needless to say my husband and I enjoyed ourselves. for the 4th we went to Perkins and I ate but felt miserbale about it so more than 3/4 of my food went home with us. Then it was off to lunch. I ate 10 wings and some fries. For Dinner I made sandwiches on wheat rolls with turkey and provolone cheese and we ate that at the basecall game. Around 9pm we went to a 4th Party and that is where the majority of my caloriees came in.. I drank 3 smirnoff's, a orange juice and vodka and washed that down with 6 shots of tequila.... I slept suunday from 11am-6pm not excally sure how much of that stayed down :(
but you only live once and my husband and i have never stayed out all night enjouying ourselves like that. 4wheeling in the the woods till 8am. back on track today though! |
Mmmmm, Tequila...... :)

I was terrible. Both days ... Saturday and Sunday ... the party hosts did not serve dinner until well after the arrival time, which meant I was sitting there starving and eventually began munching on chips and salsa (notbaked chips either), nuts (tons of 'em), soft pretzels, etc. Then the desserts came out after dinner, and I was helpless. I got on the scale this morning and found I'd gained two pounds.

I tried to hit a medium ground, and I think I did pretty well with that. I had to work Saturday, and the company brought in food for us. Sloppy joes, potato salad, a DELIGHTFUL cheese tray (my biggest food love is cheese), ice cream, soda, the works. I had one sloppy joe (before, I would have had at least two, and probably another one later), a pickle, a small spoonful of potato salad, and a small assortment of cheese cubes. Had a diet soda, and skipped the ice cream. At home after work, we grilled chicken burgers and had those with salad. I must admit, while the DH snoozed on the sofa, before we went to watch the fireworks, I made myself a plate of tortilla chips with some leftover mexican cheese melted on top.
I weigh myself almost every morning. I weighed exactly the same Sunday morning that I weight Saturday morning. I count it as a victory though, considering everything that tempted me. |
I was fully prepared to go over, but I ended up not.

I didn't go *over* 'cause I didn't count!
I knew that particular day was a lost cause, so I just went with it. I have been great every other day for a month, and I am buckling down again this week. But I have to say, it was scary, scary how many different things I could eat once I gave myself permission to stop counting. Truly astounding. Crap - I just looked up the doughnut I ate - 300 calories for ONE. And I didn't eat just one... :o Live and learn, eh? |
Yes, in fact Friday as well. I was responsible but definitely went over on calories. I'm not upset at myself over it. I know that there will be days that come up that I want to eat more and that's fine.
