This challenge looks perfect for me, it's just what I need right now. I'm seeing an old friend on labour day and we have plans for jean shopping.

1) train daily and control stress levels. I really got into running in Jan but hurt my knee (while dog walking, not running) and am working on rehabbing it. Got a steroid injection in it a few weeks ago and will have an MRI next month. I now have to ok to train again, just no tennis.
2) start P90X- I have the DVDs and need to make the commitment to do it, so consider this the official line in the sand. I'm doing it.
3) eat a balanced healthy diet, between 1500 and 1600 calories daily.

I'm not setting a weight or size goal, I have stayed pretty stable the past 6 months. I'll just try to live a healthy lifestyle and let the rest take care of itself.

Count me in since that's my 33rd birthday. I hope it's also my last fat birthday. I'm new to calorie counting as it's the only thing I haven't tried. So my goal is to lose 20 lbs and learn how to count calories, so any suggestions are appreciated. My goal is also to exercise 3-4 days/week.

Mom23Boys -

My top advice for calorie counting - keep a food journal and be sure to track every morsel you eat.

Good luck.

Michelle

I got a weight training session and 35 minute cardio in today after work. I was tired, but knowing that I committed to this challenge is what got me working out!

WOW~10 p.m. Added extra exercise in today~I hope to see some good results soon ~I figured I would add in some different extras at least 3 times a week.Since I have severe asthma I have to take it slow on how much I add until I get use to it. I am use to my walking now So I am ready for more stuff and ready to get these other 40 some more lbs off to get to my ultimate goal!
I wanna get to 179 or below by labor day and I am gonna work HARD TRYING Regardless if I actually do or not.
I am having a ~hyper about LOSING WEIGHT MOMENT ~SO bear with me LOL

Anyways ~I figure since I quit smoking cigs over a year ago after 19 years of it. ~plus I have lost 67.5 lbs~ & my doctor told me lungs sounded like a 20 year olds last months visit~ THAT I gotta get more exercising in~I CAN DO IT.

(oh for those who do not know I may look 20's hahahaha~but I am actually 33!)

P.s. To those not use to me I was being goofy~I know I look My age Most days! hahahaha~but I feel like I am in my 20's Today so I was having a good laugh with that comment above~i actually have a daughter that is 16~WOW~

I hope everyone is having a great week.

I quit cold turkey in November 08 (but who's keeping track, right?) I figure if I can do that, I can lose this weight.

I'd like to join in.. my goals for CC Labor Day include reaching 145 #. Currently I am 158 and need to figure out calories needed to reach that goal. Any suggestions? I don't currently count calories explicitly, but think I am too high since I haven't lost any weight since the fall. I think it is somewhere around 1800-2000. I go to the gym about 3 times a week, but probably need to change that up.

Thanks for any help on the calories!

Congrats to those who quit smoking!!! My parents quit smoking several years ago. Well, my dad still smokes cigars actually. I heard somewhere that's just as bad as cigarettes, though he insists it's not??? I could be wrong. He smokes them around the kids some times (my nieces) and I don't think that's cool. On at least one occasion, my niece Julia has picked up a stick off the ground or something, put one end to her mouth, and "pretended to be like Pop-pop" As for myself, I've had second hand smoke health issues thanks to my parents, but have never picked up a cigarette myself! Heck, I have trouble lighting a lighter (I use them to light my incense)! I guess it's a good thing. Anyway, good job on quitting smoking!

I actually gained a pound today Not time to change my ticker just yet... I'll wait another day and see what the scale says. Only exercised about 90 minutes yesterday. 60 minutes of it was more heavy/moderate and 30 was kinda walking, so I guess it was light-ish.

Oh! My ankle is sprained. It's in a brace. The thing is a pain! It actually looks Goth. The brand name is "Darco", it's black, has a spider web design on it... you'd have to see it. it's definitely Goth. My mom's said so twice I used to be Goth... hehe, now I've turned into a "girly girl"... when did that happen? Now I'm all pink and sparkly! I don't know when I made this transformation

Did well yesterday, had a high exercise day and ate well. Dancing in the evening always burns a lot of calories.

I had my morning walk, and will go out for lunch in a bit with friends, and I already plan on having a burger and fries and enjoying every bit of it.

I might try the 30 day shred video for the first time this afternoon.
