BC Pills and weight
 

I just posted another thread about gaining 2 lbs this week and was just wondering if it could be from my BC pills? I just started the pills last Friday so would that make me gain 2 lbs in a week? If so I'm going to have to talk to my doctor. Any experience with this? Thanks

I dont think so, i talked to my doctor about this when I went on birth control a year ago. She said it was mostly myth. I would chalk it up to normal weight fluctuation.

i chalk up the difficulty i have in weight loss to Yaz. the added female hormones certainly arent helping.

I have been on 6 different kinds of BC and never gained any weight. The only thing I did gain was mondo boobies on yaz (lol I went from a B cup to a D cup) but an actual gain no.

Thanks! It looks like I'll stop the BC anyways, I have been vomiting for 2 days now and went to the gym tonight and was on the treadmill for about 7 minutes and got dizzy, light headed, saw spots and vomited again. The joy of BC pills :(

I was on Seasonale for a while. It absolutely made me gain weight. The doctor said it was a side effect. THANKS! The month I got off it, I lost 10 pounds. I'm on Yaz now and have had no problem. I had mondo boobs before I ever started Yaz. :)

I wouldn't stop taking the pills. :) Many women, when they first start taking birth control pills, get nausea as one of the side effects-just like you would if you got pregnant. The nausea is caused by the change in hormones. It should subside after a few weeks of being on them.

If you are concerned, call your doctor. They might just switch pill brands on you.
