Thanks for the welcome everyone:

Doctors appointment is Tuesday she will have the results Friday afternoon. Ever since i started just counting and being smart I have been doing well. Down to 217, which seems fast but I have a lot of weight so the doctor said I would lose faster than a person with only a few pounds to lose. I have also been able to keep up on my walking today I will be up to 4 miles at 2MPH on saturday I will up the speed, im excited.

Nonnah- did you get to the gym? My husband signed my up for a Gym class at our college, and then made me promise not to drop anymore classes, before he told me what he did. So now Im stuck.

MissLoud- Good job on TOM and its very inspiring, I have very irregular TOM and have been trying to get pregnant for almost 5 years now. Hoping the tests and weight loss will help with that, and you have inspired me!

Prinny- Good luck on sorting everything out!

I always have the most to catch up on! Darn you ladies for being chatty without me around lol Im going to try to get to everyone, but if I skip you, I apologize in advance.

Beach - Thanks for my W-I congrats! You cant count me getting out of 160s before you because I dont have an injury Im dealing with! This isnt a battle, but if it were, it wouldnt be a fair one silly I just want you better so you're feeling better. Im glad the MRI went well. Im anxious for your results on the 5th. How was the PET scan results? Did you know my old pediatrician wanted my son to have a PET scan because he's so large? (He's 28lbs. 14oz. & 315 inches long at a year) I thought he was crazy, switched offices, and our new Pediatrician said I should be scheduling football scholarships for our 1 year old, not PET scans lol

Meeky - Thanks for the congrats! I knew the Wii got upset if you werent on, but who know it'd accuse you of eating too little or exercising too much with a big loss?

Retire - Im happy your mother's birthday went well! Sounds like you all had a blast! 7 weeks until the wedding, and you're really getting things handled! Gooooooo you!

Cebsme - Welcome! Although I LOVE SB cereal bars, I am a CC at heart. When I first thought about losing weight, I almost did SB, but knew Id fail because I just cant live without carbs. Id loveeee to do a marathon one day. I am thinking of a 5k in the spring for myself. Please read my post below to MissLoud about my TTC story. I hope I can inspire a bit, and if you have any questions, please let me know. I charted, did Clomid, OPK's, etc.

Shannon - Im so proud of you!! You're really doing great and I can just tell you're going to be successful at your journey. You remind me of me when I started this whole thing. Im not really sure why, but thats a good thing I think 2200/2300 is a bit much. You obviously dont want to maintain, but instead, you want a serious loss. I started at 209lbs, and was eating 1700 at first. The key is to choose foods that will keep you full longer, not calories that will keep you full. Remember its only a number, and youll find the one that works best for you. I now eat 1300/1400 per day, and am NEVER hungry.

Melwolfe - I considered those arm band thingys for awhile, but as I went along without it and dropped weight, I figured I didnt need it. I think everyone should do what works for them. If it helps, AWESOME!! Its nice you have a partner with your daughter too! (I sometimes go to the gym with my mom, even though she's 5'4", 127lbs. and a size 5, she likes to stay fit and thinks its key at 51)

MissLoud - First thanks so much for the tattoo compliment I wanted to tell you that prior to losing weight, I had PCOS with insulin resistance, irregular TOM since I was 11, and although I was 140lbs prior to babies, 2 out of my 3 children were Clomid babies. After my 3rd baby, I had my tubes tied, and was still irregular. My OB said try exercising and eating right. I thought that was a cop-out because he didnt know what was wrong. That was NOT the reason I decided to do this (that was all vanity reasons), but it sure helped, because Ive gotten TOM regularly for 4 months now. Im going to visit my OB for my yearly checkup in July, and cant wait to thank him & tell him he was exactly right!! Much baby dust to you!!

So Im still 161. Gosh, its coming off so slowwwwww now, but Im not stopping. Im so close its ridiculous. 2lbs. until an official 50lbs lost, 3lbs. until Im officially healthy weight BMI, and 6lbs. until my original goal.

I worked out this morning already. I have a plan to exercise tomorrow & Saturday as well. I have got to get these last few pounds off. I also have a problem with nighttime snacking. Im not gaining from it, but could it be the reason Im not losing even more also? Hmm..Off to feed the kiddos lunch, and since I already exercised, Im going to enjoy a chick flick while they're napping.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Prinny - I hope your day has improved! There's nothing worse than feeling down. I was never good at dealing with it (I ate/eat my feelings.) When I'm down I try to spend a few minutes, thinking about all the positive people and things in my life. It helps some times.

Beach - I was reading your post about winter clothes and was all confused, until I saw where you live. My winter clothes consist of a sweatshirt-jacket-hoodie thing. I can't imagine being that far north! Brrrrrrrr.

Cebsme - I didn't want to admit it, but no I didn't get to the gym. I'm almost afraid of it for some reason, can't really figure out why. I'm also trying to build up the courage to go to this running/drinking club thing on Wed nights. They run through woods and rough terrain and then celebrate after with beer. Granted, I'd go lightly on the beer, but I'm all kinds of afraid that I'll make a fool of myself. Bleh. That was really underhanded of him! I'd be jabbing him in the ribs for that, for suuuure.

Vegas - Heck yeah, that's a good thing! You are doing so well, I take it as a good sign that I seem like you did at first. Hehe. I'm eating 1800 but I may drop it down to 1700. By the end of the night I'm almost looking for food to eat to meet the calorie quota. BTW: You remind me soooo much of my newly-found-old-HS-friend. Naomi, is that you? hehe. What are you eating when you snack at night?

Well, I didn't go to the gym yesterday. I thought about it soooo much throughout the afternoon but procrastinated and hid in my house. I have this weird fear about starting exercise. I can't even explain it. I've exercised before, lifted weights, cardio, etc. I think I'm intimidated by the people in my apartment complex. They are mostly typical college students, lithe and beautiful, and I am an atypical student being overweight and older (but still beautiful! heh). Sooooo. Yeah.

Food-wise things are going great. Better than expected, actually.

My best friend made me buy a couple of shirts that are form fitting and while I feel really awkward I also feel pretty good. He pointed out that I'm obviously a big girl, but when I wear baggy shirts it just makes me look bigger. So I'm trying to show off my curves with confidence.

Nonnahs-
I understand the feeling of fear, I am scared to death about this gym class. It was a lot worse until I looked at the description and find its geared towards people who are wanting to start a fitness program who previously havent. So I think I will fit. I can not do gyms, there are 2 here, one 24 hour places frequented by super skinny women or super toned guys who look at me like I am the fat plaque coming to infect them. The other gym is Curves and every time Ive walked in there people were standing around talking and no one was working out, I am not a really chatty person, and if I have to drive 18 miles into town to get a workout I am not going to chat it away. Thats why the college class, my husband looks at it this way, its college credit plain and simple.

Shannon - Im not her, but you can consider me an old friend anyway That running in the woods & then drinking class sounds freakin cool. Too bad there's no woods here in Vegas :/ My best friend (pregnant with her 4th child right now) also convinced me to buy non-baggy clothes when I started. I felt better, and kept buying clothes from there with my changing body. At night Im a cereal addict. Ill have a bowl of cereal (a big bowl) and usually a 100 calorie bag of popcorn.

Shannon & Cebsme - Even after 6 months, and being so close to my goal, I only exercise in my home, and alone. I dont even workout in front of my husband. I guess I consider it a very personal thing, personal experience, etc. I have been to the gym twice with my mom in 6 months for an actual class, however, Ive also bawled my eyes out while working out at home with twice with an emotional breakdown type thing. There was alot to my journey that was much more than just physical. Im changing my life, and a few times that has hit me during a workout or while on the scale, and I am so overwhelmed by emotion I bawl. I hope the next time that happens, my scale will read 155lbs. My goal.

My NSV for this week was going to Old Navy! Prior to starting my loss, I was a size 14 in their jeans and a XXL top. As of yesterday I was a size 10 in their jeans (& shorts with my new legs) and a size M top. Im ecstatic!

Hello all - I'm being naughty today! Pulled a sicky! and have spent the day on the couch sorting out Wedding stuff and watching DVDs. Ah bliss. Was going to take the dog for a walk but I'm scared I'll get busted! He He. Back in the old dark days I would have stocked up on junk food, but Imust be growning up! okay it took mke til 30 but hey you have to stop eating like a teenager at some point, right? I'm looking forward to next weekend (Queens Birthday Weekend) we get Monday off work - I'm going to go shopping in Dunedin with my Mum - Dunedin is about 2 1/2 hours away and it has alot better shops than Invercargill where I live. So hopefully I don't just fit into the fat girl clothes.

Vegas - Thanks for the inspiration! I was pretty regular before I got so big - so hopefully my body will start doing the right thing again. I think sometimes I just think the worst! I can hear my biological clock ticking really loudly, just abit paranoid as we haven't had the best of luck when it comes to other things in our life - MUST BE POSITIVE.

Beach - Wow I didn't even know they made a 5.30 in the morning! I'm a confirmed night owl so hence I'm not a morning person. I hope everything goes okay for you test results, and I hope it gives you a answer once and for all!

Cebsme - I wish you all the luck in the world for you baby quest!! The body is an amazing thing I'm sure it will happen!

Also girlies I too am a comfirmed Gymphobic! I've never been one to care what people think so have other reasons for not going - One. Those people who take the classes - I really think they have been dropped on there head at some time - No one should be that excited about sweating Two. Too too much skin tight clothing in one place. Three. Way too many mirrors - I look like a beetroot when working out - I don't want to see it! oh I could go on forever.

X x

QUICK UPDATE!!!

Down to 152, one more and I get another prinny penguin for my sig army.

So I got my GoWearFit today. Took a while to get it charged and set up so I only get a little data for today, but so far it's fascinating. Getting used to the armband is going to be an ordeal but everytime it annoys me it just reminds me to run upstairs for nothing or bounce around like a maniac. As if the neighbors didn't already think I am nuts, I was making dinner and dancing around my kitchen like a loon.

Yeah I think this thing is gonna be fun, but I am going to have to use my crafting skills to make a more fashionable holder for the monitor. Swarovski encrusted monitor case? Oh yes, it will happen.

edit: Hrm I think I am going to have to log calories in two places for a while both on Daily Plate and on GWF site till I get the hang of this thing. Oh that is going to be annoying especially since the GWF database is pathetic compared to TDP. grrrrrr.

Good Morning Ladies

Nothing new, getting frustrated just like Prinny,as I' up to 170 this morning and during the beginning of the week I was 167,Where did the 3 lbs come from???,since I can't exercise I dropped by calorie intake by 200 calories a day and doesn't seem to work. My range was 1300-1500 and now its down to 1100-1300,do you think its too low for me and I should have stayed at my original 1300-1500???

CEBSME-Hope you find great results at the doctor appointment.I like counting calories also better that those diets out there, but to find the right balance of calories it the problem. See above,I have 17 lbs more to lose just to get to my first 10%,than I have to do down further.

VEGAS-Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully the doctor will know by now what wrong with this leg of mine and than correct it. MY DH has a clear bill of healthy the cancer is still in remission. I did know they use a PET scan for large babies glad you switched pediatricians. My baby's doctor told me that my son will going to be 6 foot as he was 3ft tall at age two. He wasn't too far off, my son is 5'9"

Congrats on your NSV going down sizes is just as important as what the scale says.

NONNAH-No I live in the north. I have more winter heavy clothes than I do summer light ones. So its going to be job to take those buggers downstairs. Start slow by walking and than once you get that under control do a power walk type of walking and graduate to a small jog your love exercising again. I think that what did my DD in, is going on the gym equipment before she was ready.

MISS LOUD-The appointment for the MRI was in the evening not in the morning. I was just over tired that night I had to have another early night. The hospital where the x-rays & MRI are don't open until 7 and the last appointment is 6 I came out at 6:20 and the place was deserted..

PRINNY-Happy about you receiving another
penguin on your posts.

Have a great morning.

I understand. I just got new mixing bowls for my birthday and I was ecstatic. DH looked at me rather oddly as I exclaimed over their virtues.

Just a quick to everyone. I've been super busy baking for the wedding. I've made and frozen 118 individual quiche, 123 small apple turnovers, 106 pigs-in-a-blanket and 130 tart shells. I'm sick of rolling pastry but must make more next week. (I want left-overs, ha, ha). And today I made the shawls for the bridesmaids. They were quick to do and didn't require a rolling pin.

Miss Loud, good for you getting everything organized for your wedding.

Hope you get that ankle taken care of Beach.

Must go sleep. Very tired. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Yeah this new doodad is pretty awesome. It really is encouraging me to move more I think this is going to help.

I have now lost 25 pounds total! I gave myself a prinny penguin in my sig for that. I should be on track for my upcoming minigoal if I don't plateau next week. Oh and I need to go try some stuff on I haven't tried on for 5 pounds and see how I am doing.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Good Morning Ladies

Something wonderful happened, I stopped taking the pain killers for my leg and my leg is bothering me like it did these last 2 months. So it must be getting better.I was on the bike for 30 mins yesterday and now I'm Going on the bike again.

We're going to celebrated our blessing this weekend along with the Memory of our men & woman in our military, now and the past on the Memorial Day .

CEBEME-Have a great time using your grill. I loved grilling veggies and patties on it but I than put it away.I have to get my George Foreman grill out again now that a woman on another board told me how to clean it with all the hassle of greasy foods be grilled on it. Don't have the new one that has removable grills.

RETIRE-What do men know, I loved getting new appliance or gadgets for the kitchen as I love to cook. God bless you for all the talent you have from [baking, cooking ,sewing, crocheting and knitting] I wouldn't know where to start, you're simply amazing. You deserve a well rest.

Thanks,I'm thinking it getting better,as I haven't taken any pain killers and I'm able to exercise again.

PRINNY-Congrats on your 25 lb loss, hope you will continue reaching your mini goal next week.

Have to go,will come back sometime this afternoon.

Good Morning!!

Boo I don't wanna go to work, buuuuuut those pizzas aren't going to sell themselves! (I'm a server at California Pizza Kitchen) So, yesterday after work I went to Ruby Tuesdays with a couple of coworkers and hung out at the bar. I intended on having ONE beer but wound up spending 6 hours there! Sheesh! It was just three girls, talking, hanging out. I've never really hung out with anyone from work, so it was nice. Granted, I went over my calories by a fair amount. When I got home, I was shocked by how many calories were in the two girly drinks I had. I know for next time! I would have been fine with just the beers. Boo hiss on girly-tasting-goodness!

Vegas - Do you save enough calories to cover that? If so then *shrug*. What kinds of exercises do you do at home? The group doesn't just run through the woods, they go over strange terrain, woods, etc. There's probably a group in your area. They are called the Hash House Harriers. It has nothing to do with illicit drugs, btw... Grats on the shopping victory!

MissLoud - I'm with you on the mirrors! I don't want to see my fat arse every way I turn, thank you very much! hehe There's nothing wrong with taking a self-day!

Prinny - You are hilarious. Are you going to show us your blinged-out case? hehehe. Grats on the loss!!!

Beach - Who knows? Our bodies are a pain in the neck, that's for sure. I'd say if it still seems to be throwing you off after a week, raise your calories up again. That seems extremely low, but I'm a big girl and can't imagine eating that little.

Cebsme - That grill looks awesome!!! I just might have to buy one for myself. I have a tiny one that I don't use often because it's annoying to clean... it doesn't help that I'm paranoid about throwing water on anything with a power cord - regardless of whether it's pluggedi n or not.

Retired - That is a LOT of baking! Did you have any help or was that all you? I think I'd go bonkers after all that cooking!

I'll catch y'all later! Have a great weekend!
