I love Sparkpeople.com I am an addict. It has an nutrition/calorie tracker, fitness tracker and you can create your own little page and keep a journal too. It also has forums, and teams you can join. Plus lots of articles and advice and even videos. Very cool site.

I like calorielab.com
It tells you how many calories are in the food you eat. And how much calories you burn doing certain excersises.

One that I enjoy is caloriesperhour.com -- I use this to calculate how many calories I'm burning. It's very motivating!

I'll second the recommendation for sparkpeople.com -- that site is endless. There are subgroups there for everything!

I love hungrygirl.com

I really like The Daily Plate/Livestrong - it has 90% of the brands of food I buy (even store brands).... however, it's been DOWN a lot lately, which is very frustrating. I have limited internet access at work, so I can't keep checking back on it just to track my breakfast. :(

I'm going to be looking at some other sites during lunch, but has anyone else been experiencing lots of downtime with TDP?? :?:

I'm a spark user but I supplement with nutritiondata.com for items that aren't in the spark database.

No, I visit that site several times a day and I have never had the problem you mentioned. Now that I think about it, I don't recall ever having any problems at all with it.

I use calorie count right now, but have used and liked sparkpeople and fitday in the past.

Elspeth73 03-13-2009 08:52 AM

Thanks guys! I haven't notice any problems with TDP in the last couple of days, but when I was having issues it was in the early mornings (5am-ish)... maybe they do site maint. then or something? I wasn't having problems with any other site. :dizzy:

I looked at some other calorie count sites and sparkpeople is good, but I still like the huge food database that TDP/Livestrong has - although adding your own recipe is less than stellar (and I see there are plenty of comments about it on TDP message boards).

Everyone have a good weekend! :carrot:
