I am proud of "Me" because...

I am proud of me because I have been steadily loosing weight. I have stuck to my plan and it is working. I have been counting calories since Sept. 17, 2008 and I made a commitment to follow it through. I have lost 34 pounds.
:bravo:
How about you?

juls64 03-01-2009 09:59 AM

Feels pretty good, doesn't it?

Woo-Hoo!!!

coco_chanell 03-01-2009 10:08 AM

Keep up the good work :D

bindersbee 03-01-2009 10:47 AM

We started at almost exactly the same time and weight. I'm losing slowly but I'm proud of myself because I'm still working at it. I have NEVER maintained consistency this long. I've never kept trying to lose weight beyond 3 months before. It's an ADD thing. I lose interest easily and I'm impulsive- two traits which are NOT condusive to weight loss.

I am proud of myself for overcoming my obstacles and stinkin' thinkin' which tells me that anything less than perfect effort is a waste of time. I can't do things perfectly (no matter how badly I want to) so I'm learning to accept that and do the things I can as well as I can. It's working. Slowly. But working nonetheless.

I am proud of me because I lost weight, kept it off, and got my health insurance premium reduced! :broc: :cb: :broc: :cb:

Windchime 03-01-2009 11:09 AM

I am proud of me because I've been stalled for 2 weeks and I've stayed on track--I haven't let discouragement sway me from keeping my eye on the goal!

I can't control what the scale says, but I can control my diet, exercise, and mental attitude. So yay for me!

hpnodat 03-01-2009 11:29 AM

I'm proud of me because for the first time ever, I feel really confident about being able to get healthy and lose weight this time. I feel more determined as well.

peccavi 03-01-2009 12:39 PM

This is a nice thread.

I'm proud of me because my sister visited me for 2 weeks and I actually lost a pound, even with extra snacks here and there and going to a few places that were "traditions." I made healthier choices, used some self control, and stayed mostly on plan!

fiberlover 03-01-2009 02:03 PM

:bravo:

I am proud that I have been able to maintain my weight loss, even though I haven't quite lost the last few!

shymeggie 03-01-2009 03:56 PM

I'm proud of me because I have made the choice to be done with quick fixes. I will lose this weight in a healthy, safe, sane way ! :carrot:

prinny 03-01-2009 05:27 PM

I am proud of me because I haven't freaked out at only losing 2 pounds my first week of trying to lose weight again. I am NOT happy about it, but it's not driving me into a tub of coffee ice cream.

I am proud of my husband because he's been voluntarily being good with me and even exercising some... and I didn't have to nag him AT ALL!!!

freshmanweightorbust 03-01-2009 05:32 PM

Two pounds a week is great, why would you be freaked out?

I'm proud of me because I had the menu pulled up online from Dominos, had an order all filled out, and instead of clicking "confirm order" I navigated away from the page to this forum. I'm going out in the kitchen to drink some water and make sure that my thirst wasn't masquerading as hunger. If I am honestly hungry, I will prepare something healthy and eat that, thereby saving money and calories. So there, Dominos!

prinny 03-05-2009 04:09 AM

... and the husband again because...

We went to a Mexican restaurant and didn't have ANY chips. We usually go through 3-4 bowls. We also were good and got black beans and only ate about half of our dinners of grilled fajitas.

blackbutterfly 03-05-2009 07:16 AM

I am proud of me for resisting the urge to eat more cheddar biscuits at red lobster lol

LittleMoonRabbit 03-05-2009 09:06 AM

I am proud of me because I have changed my attitude and have gone from thinking "I can't" to "I certainly can"

Tina81980 03-05-2009 09:26 AM

I am proud of me because I made my kids and their friends brownies yesterday and I have no desire to touch even one!

Thinfor5Minutes 03-05-2009 09:34 AM

I am proud of each and every one of you! You go, girls!!!!

And I am proud of me for sticking to the plan even though my weight loss is painfully slow. I am wearing a size 6 skinny skirt suit today, and my husband told me I look fabulous!

scalewatcher 04-28-2009 09:23 PM

I am proud of me I reached my April 1 goal. 190 pounds. I have been at a stand still all month. I am not giving up and the scale will start to move down again :-).

prinny 04-28-2009 09:44 PM

I am proud of me because I HAVEN'T SCREWED THIS UP YET.

I am proud of my DH because even though he could be working out more, he is being good with food.

time2lose 04-28-2009 10:11 PM

I am proud of me because I am consistently sticking to my plan and am steadily losing weight for the first time in my entire adult life!

Vegaspunkermom 04-28-2009 10:54 PM

I am proud of me because I am changing my life, and actually DOING it!

I am proud of me because despite what some people might think (locally not here on 3FC) Ive done this the healthy, natural, REAL way.

I am proud of me because I wanted this SO bad, and I am proving that.

barefootnikki 04-29-2009 06:18 AM

I am proud of me for not letting major stress derail me. That one treat doesn't mean "i've blown it"! This is a new feeling for me and i LOVE it!

Keep up the good work everyone!

mom of four 04-29-2009 10:23 AM

Such great posts!

I'm proud of me because I've taken the first step in realizing I need to do this....for me! I've been in denial for way to long!

Misora 04-29-2009 03:05 PM

I'm proud of me because I haven't let minor obsticles get in my way. Whether its a birthday dinner out, the dread no change (or worse going up!) on the scale after I've been sticking to plan or days like today when I forgot my packed lunch at home. I'm proud becaues instead of joining my coworkers for free pasta bowls from Dominos (pizza crust shaped into a bread bowl filled with meat and cheese weighing in at over 1400 calories per bowl!) I bought a lower calorie lunch out. Because when Jack in the Box was out of fruit cups I didn't get french fries, I went by a grocery store on the way back to the office and got a grapefruit. Because tonight if it's not raining when I get home from work I'm getting on my bike and riding to the shoe store 3 mi from my house rather than driving.

It's all these little choices that enabled me this morning to make the choice to reach past the size 28 skirt that was tight 3 months ago and grab the size 24 that my sister handed down to me instead and its not tight at all.

iris 04-29-2009 03:46 PM

I am proud of me because I am actually being good to myself instead of depriving myself!

I am proud of me because I was able to eat a piece of chocolate today and not finish half the box.

And I am proud of me for remembering to choose water over sugary drinks most of the time.

This thread is great! You all have reason to be proud.

sjdphc 04-29-2009 04:08 PM

Aww! So inspirational! I am proud of me because I have been consistently working out 5 days a week and eating right since March 23, 2009! I am also proud of me for losing approx. 11 lbs since then! I am proud of me for not giving up when the scale wasn't moving as fast as I thought it should! :carrot:

steph324 04-29-2009 07:39 PM

I am proud of me because despite breaking my arm which makes exercise, cooking my own food or doing much af anything really difficult, I still lost weight this month! And didn't use it as an excuse to comfort myself with food (much!)

Jacque9999 04-29-2009 07:45 PM

We ALL should be proud!!!

  • I am so proud of me because I have started and stuck with my routine for almost 3 weeks!
  • I am so proud of me because I am doing something different...and it's working!
  • I am so proud of me because I am getting closer to my goal...day by day!!!
  • I am so proud of me because I have increased my time on the Arc Trainer from 10 minutes a week ago, to 20 minutes 2 days ago to 30 minutes TODAY!!!!

:carrot:

scalewatcher 05-03-2009 09:55 AM

I'm proud of "me" because... Even though I didn't loose a single pound in the month of April and when I weighed this morning I was 2.6 pounds, I just regrouped and decided that I am still going to make my goal. I'll just have to increase my calorie output and decrease my calorie intake. It will be OK cause I believe in ME and I know I can do this.;)

Jacque9999 05-03-2009 10:03 AM

scalewatcher...at least you didn't gain in April and you are headed in the right direction in May...baby steps, one day at a time

On another note:

When I got the email saying someone posted to this thread, instead of looking at scalewatcher's post, for some reason my eyes went to the post right above it. I started reading it, and said, my g-d, that sounds just like me!!! Then I realized it was my post.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Tracy 05-03-2009 12:15 PM

I am proud of me because I still have hope and know I can and will do this.:yes:I don't give up,no matter how many times I try. And,I am proud of all of you that keep on trying!:bravo:

greengrass 05-03-2009 06:17 PM

I'm proud of me because even though I've been stuck for a while at the same weight I haven't given up. I've lost over 30 pounds since last summer but I gotta keep going!

scalewatcher 05-04-2009 11:54 AM

I am proud of me because the scale has starting moving down. I'll keep trying and I know the rewards will be great.

LookingForMeAgain 05-04-2009 12:06 PM

Im proud of me because there is an entire basket of dove chocolate in my room and I have not binged on it ;)

Im proud of me because Ive stuck to a diet for more than 3 days.

Im proud of me because I havent ate out in a while!

Jacque9999 05-04-2009 01:04 PM

I'm proud of me because I have been in the kitchen 3 times this morning at work and there is cake in there that I HAVE NOT TOUCHED!!!!

scalewatcher 05-05-2009 09:04 PM

I am proud of me because I had a bowl of high fiber cereal for a snack instead of ice cream. Yeah me.

grae 05-13-2009 05:30 AM

I am proud of me because I haven't given in to one craving in 2 weeks.

Jacque9999 05-13-2009 05:57 AM

I'm proud of me because there is food around the house either bought or made by kids that I have not eaten...like the plate of choc. chip cookies on the kitchen counter. Funny...not really interested anyway.

grae 05-20-2009 02:44 AM

I am proud tonight because i grabbed 2 chocolates from the easter basket hubby made me but ate a banana with ff cool whip and a teeny bit of sf chocolate syrup instead while the chocolates sit here on the coffee table :D

StarCarly 05-23-2009 11:36 AM

I'm proud of me because I've stuck to my routine for more than a few days. I'm proud of the way my body is beginning to feel when I wake up. I'm proud of my sudden ability to drive right past fast food restaurants. I'm proud of me for not eating even one bite of the free garlic cheese bread at work last night!
