Now I've Hit the Other Extreme

Warning, short rant ahead...
I have been stuck at 160 for a few weeks now after losing quickly eating 1500 cals a day. So I decided to drop it down to 1400 to see if it helped. I don't know if it's that I was comfortable with 1500 after 2 months or what, but now I'm really struggling to get up to my calories every day. I was hitting 1500 easily every day, staying right around the range with no problems. And now, I guess because I'm recalculating, I'm getting ready for bed trying to eat another 300 calories to try to get to 1400. It's frustrating! This was not my experiment! 1400 was my experiment.

I've been making sure I go to at least 1200, and I've added a glass of skim milk at night just to add a healthy 100. I'm being healthy, I'm just frustrated. Everything was going so swimmingly before!!

Ok, thank you for letting me rant. Please let me know if you've ever felt the same or have any advice for being too anal about your calories. :)

I have trouble getting enough calories. I get so scared I am going to go over I am too careful all day then I need another couple hundred and I usually just don't bother. I totally know what you are going through with that!

Hey!

Undereating can cause a stall just like overeating can. So, my suggestion would be that you plan ahead of time what you are going to eat and when, and then you stick to the schedule.

It doesn't have to be a plan engraved in granite. For instance, I have several options for each meal and snack and I can mix and match, but I have a target calorie amount. You do have to eat whatever you've set out to eat, though.

And it doesn't have to be the exact number every day. You're shooting at an average number of calories. If you use a calorie tracker, it does this for you.

Cheers!
Jay

oh i've done it... i eat 1300 and every once in a while i would save up cals for a little mini meal midnight snack or whatever and pass out before i ate the 300 cals. or just not eat a lot of bread or grains or dressings or something and be way under (like 700 cals) come dinner time. those veggies just don't add up by themselves! haha so i plan a loose guideline for what i'm going to eat the day before and eat that. if i want to checge my mind i just make sure it fits in that same cal slot so it doesn't throw off my whole day. i have to plan or i go way under or sometimes over...

GO EAT SOMETHING! :D

I also plan ahead. I plan my meals for the day staying within my calorie allottment, I can change if needed but always be sure I am staying within my calorie allowance.. I think it is a lot like a bank account, I only have so much to spend,
