Wine lover and calorie counter?
I absolutely adore wine. I have found a great fill in for my normal glass. I have pouring Canadian Dry (o calorie, low sodium) over ice and splashing in about 3/4 ounce to 1 ounce of whatever wine I want. Anyway, I like it and wanted to share.

I have purchased, but not tried, a new wine called "Slender"
http://www.chateauthomas.com/slender/ Sweetened with Zerose® , a natural sweetener which has zero calories, a zero glycemic index, no carbs, no fats. It's worth a try! Maybe you could have more than a splash..... |
I was so excited when I saw this post! And then saw that they can't ship to Texans... silly Texas. Let us know if it's any good!
|
CRAP! I am in Texas too. I wonder if anyone has it on Ebay. More than a splash sounds fabulous!
|
I want to try that Slender wine! I've never heard of it before. Do you know where we could find the nutritional information? The sweetener has no calories, but what about the wine itself?
I never thought about mixing wine with ginger ale, that sounds good! :) |
Hey, just did some research on this Slender wine. Like so many diabetics products, it is fine for those that can't have the sugar but unfortunately, it has as many calories as most wines. The calories in wine are found in the alcohol itself, not the sugar in the wine. I think I will stick to my Candada Dry and wine splash for now.

I've been doing the wine spritzers myself, and found that the Canada Dry with Cranberry (0 calories) makes an even more delicious spritzer!

lol...but where is the wine???
