Oil in the pan..count it or no?

I am wondering about this. I made 2 large eggs this morning in my little non-stick pan, which always sticks unless I oil the pan because the pan is old. First I sprayed it with a fast shot of nonstick spray and then added a teaspoon of canola oil to the pan. Got my eggs sunnyside up but when I go to add my calorie counts to my daily total do I add the teaspoon of oil too even though some of it stayed in the pan?

Normally I boil my eggs but didn't want to wait that long to eat today.

I normally don't add cooking spray, because I use it very judiciously and the calories end up pretty small. But I will add any oil I pour from a bottle. A teaspoon of oil is a significant number of calories, so I'd count it.

Yep, add the calories for the canola.

Thanks Mandalinn. I wasn't going to add the cooking spray either. That was simply to keep this particular pan of mine from sticking and it sticks like a PITA if I don't spray it. I actually need to replace the pan but cannot do that until the end of February when I get some money and am headed to a particular store to get more items for my kitchen (cutting board, stainless steel strainer, etc).

I will add the teaspoon to my totals. Thanks again.

I hate counting oils and toppings and condiments, which has lead to me to using everything very sparse and eating a lot of just plain old fruits and vegis. I am more into quantity when it comes to calorie counting I guess, not that fruits and vegis are lacking quality.

Whenever I cook with oil, I measure it out and then pour any pan 'drippings' onto the food on my plate. That way I am getting the full calorie count out of the oil.

Gosh, none of the oil ever stays in the pan when I cook, especially with 1 tsp! It all disappears.

I definitely count it if I measure and pour. I don't usually count spritzes from my mister though.

I figure that I would rather over count than under count for the day.
