done the atkins. done the WW. done a homemade diet (which worked really really well but is far too boring)
now i've decided i'm going to calories count in vs out nice and simple basic science.
i'm using fitbug. its a web based pedometer. you buy the pedometer and subscription to the website. each day you upload the data via usb from the ped to the website. it gives you calories burned via steps based on your length of stride and weight.
also on the website is a nutrition page where you select what you've eated at each meal and how much of each. you can manually upload data for food if it isn't listed and this gives you how many calories you are consuming. along with a little dial that shows you calories balance i.e equal. losing/gaining.
its very very good been on it now for a week. the food uploading thing can take some time to start with but you can use set meals if you eat say the same breakfast every day as i do.
there is something about having to input the food online that kinda shames you into not eating it.
i'm on about 2500 calories a day atm. which is usually 700-800 breakfast 1000 lunch. 200-300 snacks and around 500 for dinner.
after dinner i upload my ped datas and if i have a difference of more than 500 calories i have something like poached eggs or some chicken. so that i'm never expending more than 500 calories above what i consume.
also aiming at 3000 steps a day for this week. will be 3500 next week
