Has any one ever tried walden farms 0 calorie condiments? they make every thing from salad dressing to jelly to chocolate syrup and marshmallow fluff... supposedly it's all 0 cals 0 carbs! if this true and if so does it taste any good?
They're okay. The texture is somewhat... slimier and sometimes grittier than their full calorie counterparts and the flavor somewhat weaker. I'd recommend them if they were on sale and your hopes aren't terribly high!
I tried one of the salad dressings and one of the ice cream toppings, and one taste is all it took...I didn't have either of them again. Very artificial tasting and weird texture. I know some people rave about them, but I am really picky about food and have to give them the thumbs down.
Zero calories. Woohoo... But I don't just take calories into consideration, I take nutrition. Walden Farms stuff is a big heap of chemical goo. If I want a really low-calorie fruit topping, I'll heat up a bit of frozen fruit. I don't need a chemistry set in my belly.
I wasn't a fan. I know some people who love them though. Careful, it's zero cals a serving, which means it can actually have up to 4. Thats can all add up.

LOL, and they brand themselves as a "farm." Maybe it should be Walden Chemistry Labs.
I haven't tried, but I do have problems moderating my condiments so I might want to look into these and just pump up the flavor with spices. Usually for salad dressing I use olive oil though. Its got a ton of nutritional benefits and is 120 calories per a hearty serving. Definitely takes the guilt out when I know its good for my body.
ok glad to hear the feed back- I heard some good some bad at other sites but the out come seems pretty synonymous here that they taste pretty nasty! I'll just keep doing what I'm doing portion controlling low calories lower fat dressings. I've heard some people say they take the real version and mix half with the Walden farms so they are cutting the calories in half and it still tastes more like the real version-
by the way I found a light house seaseme ginger dressing that's 35 cals for 2 tablspoons- it reminds me of teriyaki sauce yummy! and also the salsa ranch by lighthouse is only 50 cals! that's my husbands fav!
I buy them. I use the salad dressings, the barbeque sauce, and the chocolate syrup. It's true that they don't taste like the "real thing", but for me, it's an acceptable substitute, and a change of pace from other very low cal options like basalmic vinegar. I don't assume they are "zero" cal, though, I assume they have 3-4 calories per serving and count them. But still, I can pour a whole lot on my salad or tofu sherataki noodles for <20 calories, so it's worth it to me. I've read a lot of reviews from people who absolutely hate the taste, so you'd just have to try it and see.
