my fave hurry-up breakfast is a frozen waffle with peanut butter and bananas or blueberries on it....
The WEIRDEST breakfast I like is cottage cheese and salsa. I know. It's weird but what can I say I love it! |
My quick and easy breakfast is a granola bar and an apple - I usually eat in class. The only bad part is all the crunching, lol.
|
I really like special K red berries cereal.
It tastes GREAT! |
I eat either peanut butter on sprouted grain bread with a banana or Fiber one honey oat clusters with skim milk and a banana. Both keep me until my 10:30 snack :)
|
I rotate through a few. My current favorite is to toast a whole wheat english muffin with pizza sauce, light cheese, and canadian bacon in the toaster oven...mmm, pizza muffin!
I also like protein-enhanced oatmeal (either pre-packaged if I'm traveling or, at home, steel cut with added protein powder). I'll often add some canned pumpkin, a chopped apple, or a little dried fruit. I have been known to soak some light bread in egg beaters, cook up as french toast, and top with a little pumpkin butter. Greek yogurt w/ fruit is good, too. |
I eat most days an egg sandwiched between a wheat english muffin with a slice of 2% american cheese (220calories). This usually keeps me full until lunch time. When I don't eat that I eat Special K cereal with red berries but it doesn't keep me satisfied as long as my egg sandwich.
|
I usually eat two, fat free sugar free yogurts, partially frozen, they last longer and taste better, with 1/4 - 1/2 cup of Fiber One Cereal tossed in. I usually eat them about an hour apart.
Every now and then I will have an egg white omlette with sauteed veggies. |
This morning I am eating three egg whites cooked with broccoli, topped with salsa and one Laughing Cow cheese Light.
|
I usually eat Special K Red Berries But I bought the New Special K Blueberries. I haven't tried it yet. I hope its good!!!
I do like Oatmeal for Breakfast too because it keeps me full alot longer. But If I get hungry I grab an apple or a cheese stick to munch on |
I usually have something high protein for breakfast, like an egg sandwich. (2 slices of crustless, toasted wheat bread, two eggs cooked in a little pam that I flip and cook on both sides, and a laughing cow cheese wedge spread on the toast) and some fruit with that. Or, I will eat any one of my 'dinner foods' in the morning.. A boca burger, boneless skinless chicken breast marinated and over brown rice, etc. I like breakfast to be the largest meal I eat in the day.

Great question, great posts. Thank you, ladies!
So far, I've eaten almost the same breakfast everyday for 4 months. I think tomorrow I'm going to try something different. You know? Take a risk? *laugh* I have always eaten 2 slices of double fiber, whole wheat bread with marmalade and a serving of high protein, low calorie canadian bacon along with a cup of tea. I'm still going to eat the bread, as it helps me get my fiber, and instead of canadian bacon, I'm going to have 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites scrambled. It must sound strange, but I can't wait! |
I have to eat something different every day. I am one of those people so I have a huge list of breakfast things to choose from. But my standard ones are
oatmeal with blueberries mixed in Scrambled egg and cheese sandwich boiled egg and toast with a string cheese Cheerios with milk and banana waffles with turkey sausage homemade muffin with yogurt and fruit I actually eat whatever im feeding my 17month old that morning. |
I usually don't eat breakfast but I plan to start so last weekend I went to Wal-Mart and bought
-Honey-Nut cheerios & fat free skim milk -WW strawberry/bananna yogurt -plain fat free yogurt & frozen fruit for smoothies -Kashi go lean waffles -eggbeaters -Special K 90 calorie bars variety pack -Smart ones english muffins w/ egg & cheese -I've also had pb on toast and it's delicioius! :) |
My breakfast of choice almost every morning is a whole wheat english muffin topped with natural peanut butter and banana slices. It gets me through my strenous hike every morning and keeps me full until lunchtime!
|
I switch up my breakfasts a lot, but they tend to rotate between:
- Oatmeal w/ half and half and some fruits and nuts (my favorite is dried cranberries and sliced almonds), sweetened with splenda. I usually have calories left for one or two eggbeaters nuked in the microwave for protein. - Store brand organic raisin bran or wheat chex w/ skim milk and a banana (or some nuts like almonds) - Eggbeater omelet made with 1/2 cup eggbeaters, 1/2 ounce of cheese, veggies (today it was spicy fresh salsa), a dollop of Greek yogurt on top (instead of sour cream), a nonfat yogurt, and half of a whole wheat english muffin with 1 tsp Earth Balance spread, cinnamon and splenda on top. There are some variations of what I mix in with those things, but those are the base ingredients for my breakfast. |
