Vomiting & Calorie Counting

I forgot to take my effexor yesterday and I am having horrible withdrawal symtpoms. To make it short, should I take away calories on my fitday when I puke? If so, how many?

I typically don't take away those calories after vomiting, I just realize I might need to eat a little extra that day if possible and not worry about any overage. But that is just me, I don't know what the actual answer is. :)

There's no way of telling how much or what you lost when you threw up. You could have dropped any number of calories (that's why a lot of bulimics often don't lose weight, because you can't get rid of all the calories, and who knows how many are really gone).

I always count my sick days as non-counting days, I think you should try this too.

Yeah, if I were throwing up and miserable I'd take a day off too, not sweat it - you deserve it! It's not likely you'll go off on your count when you don't feel well.

Hope you feel better soon.

When you vomit you are losing by far more fluids then actual calories. I generally prefer not to take a day off of counting but to note what happened and if need to eat more later in the day because of it just allow myself to go over in calories for that day.

lol, i wondered this too when I had two bouts of the stomach flu between thanxgivin & christmas. I was like "Hey, well there goes those calories" I could never be bulimic cuz I hate puking but it was just a funny passing thought as I struggling through the nausea and diarrhea as well!

I've been logging religously over on TDP for about 3months now and I was like "well what do I do know" should I log it? but under what? maybe the manual option for exercise? lol!

Agghhh. Don't forget the Effexor. D:
When I forget mine I get all emo and cry at anything.
'You got your desk moved' ... WHAT!? D;

Ha ha. But anyway, I would just try to count 1/4-1/2 of the calories of whatever you ate before you puked. Because odds are it didn't all come out. :]
