Digital Scale
 

I have been OP... for the most part and have not lost anything but have not gained either... I am trying to get to my goal of 150 by xmas eve... I am getting back on track of eating only 1200 - 1300 / day... this should do the trick... wish me luck!!

I am once again in the market for a new scale. Our scale is over 20 years old and it is just not working properly. My question: If I get a digital scale, will I mess it up to pick it up and store it upright each day?? There is really no space in the bathroom to leave it laying flat and no where else upstairs to leave it on a hard surface... I am not walking downstairs in my bday suit to weight myself in the kitchen each morning :)

Most scales have to be stored horizontally--otherwise it's not good on the springs. Even the digital scales usually have some kind of spring mechanism.

I'd store it flat under the bed or in some other room near the bathroom and move it to the bathroom to weigh. It doesn't matter what kind of surface it rests on--just that it's on a hard surface when you weigh.

This may help you not to weigh too often! ;)

I keep mine under the kitchen table- it can still be horizontal, but out of the way. There's lots of little places you can store it.

Just be sure to read the instructions that come with it. Usually if you move a scale you have to reset it. For many digital scales this means stepping briefly on it and stepping back off until it turns itself off. Then you can get on it to weigh yourself. Check the manual/documentation that comes with your scale. I just bought a Taylor scale and love it.

Hmm i didnt know this about storing scales! I store mine proped up againest the wall...
