Question about flax seed measuring

Hi, I have a question about flax. I like to put this on my yogurt and food in order to help get 35grms of fiber per day. I grind it up in a coffee grinder. Should I be measuring the whole seeds or the ground up seeds? There is quite a bit of difference in 2 Tbsp. whole and 2 Tbsp. ground. I don't have a scale--
Thanks!
Liane

Measure whole seeds, then grind them.

I measure them whole and then grind them. I have found, with my grinder at least, that 1T of whole equals 1.5T ground. I had to figure this out when I was grinding them to put in a bread recipe.
