I've been discouraged for awhile about my lack of weight loss. I haven't been counting calories for long (mebbe 6 weeks now) but I've been working out pretty regularly since May with only a couple of pounds and a few inches to show for it.
Yesterday I bought a food scale. Love it! It has nutrition facts stored in it for tons of stuff such as fresh fruit and veggies which is so very useful. I bought a scale yesterday, but it was pretty lame. It showed me three different readings in a row. I bought a new one today, a little fancier and a tad more expensive.
Here's the woo hoo part. I tried it out tonight to see if it's better than the other and it says I'm at 181.8 pounds. Curves had me at 188 on Monday. I am thinking the Curves scale has been off the entire time, but who cares. It's great to weigh so much less than I thought I did however I got there.

The 'bad' scale also weighed in around 180 pounds. I thought it was wrong though. But! I have been thinking for awhile that I look closer to 180 than 190.
Also, since I wasn't losing weight, I upped my calories last week from 1,500 to 1,700. So uncomfortable doing that. But! I had to tighten up my belt two notches today, so even though I wasn't weighing regularly, I am thinking it is working.
Anyway, I can start weighing daily now, which is awesome, but in the meantime, I am excited about the weight change!!!!
