With meat I just switched to the more expensive, organic, free-range, pasture finished, etc. meats. Once you get used to it it's hard to eat the cheaper meats. It makes you cut back quite a bit, knowing you'd rather have a little incredible steak than a mound of mediocre tasting calories.
It also makes you think of meat as more of the side dish/flavoring to your veggies than the main course =D
