Elisa you made me realise i had copied the wrong week off calorie king lol and btw thanks for the maths it was very interesting and i can keep an eye on things a bit better myself with that.. im sorry to confuse you all .. but it was early morning my kids had been told we were going ten pin bowling and i posted in between eating breakfast.. having a shower and brushing my teeth.. lol ..

you know after going through it all in a rational frame of mind i have realised my diet was lacking alot of things the last week or so.. becuase we had no money and had eaten most of our fresh fruit and vegtables.. i didnt get any decent food until wednesday... so I should have thought about it before posting.. but then posting and you guys have made me realise where i have gone wrong.. not enough fruit and vegetables .... i will increase my fruit and veg and protien for now and see where that goes.. and the bread too much bread.. it actually did make me constipated and maybe that is why i gained.. so i should have used my brain before i posted but i thankyou all for your answers.. oh and i just rewieghed myself.. and this now its 230 pm and im 270 pounds and i just had lunch .. so maybe i should just be more rational.. lol i was crying when i saw the scale and furious when i posted lol.. and complelty irrational and stupid.. lol i couldnt even find the right week on calorie king to put up my averages.. lol ..

hey here is the other quetsion.. do we trust the labels ?? on things like bread about serving size and cal etc?? maybe im off on that if the labels are wrong??? i enter all new food into calorie king.. i dont do guess work.. but are the labels right???

ok i found a neat calculator in about .com.. for the 40 30 30.. im gonna aim for these..

Im gonna go for 1720 calories a day atm and then do the 40-30-30 the best i can which according to about is

carbs = 172 grams--688 cals
protien =129 grams--516 cals
fat= 58 grams---516 cals

I have now changed calorie kings goals to this.. so i can take it easy.. and not get confused.. Thanks so much everyone i really appriate it.. :) im glad you guys told me how it is.. oh and btw .. i have been on the loo all day .. today i have stuck to just fruit and veg to clear up the constipation.. and its worked a treat.. ill let you know if the scales are smiling in the morning
http://walking.about.com/cs/calories/l/bldietcalc.htm
which is a bit different to calories king reccomendations of
[We recommend that around 50-60% of your calories should come from carbs, 15-20% from protein and under 30% from fat. ].

im starting this today ill let you know how i go :)

I'm only happy that my math came close to the calculations you got for the 40/30/30 mix! ;)

Different things work for different people so give it a try and give it a bit of time and who knows - maybe it will the change you need.

We all understand the scale frustration and about trying so hard and not seeing the results but you seem really determined and ready to plan so you have to believe that you'll find out the right formula for your success!

Good luck!

:D

yeah elisa your math was great so too was your knowledge and opinion.. i really appreciate it and today i think i did pretty good
cals 1630
carbs 173.2 = 42.1 %
protien 121.3 = 29.4%
fat 52.2 = 28.5%

im aiming for 1700 calories a day .. my exercise came to -600 cals..
10 minutes pushups,120 minutes walking and 30 minutes elliptical
im from now logging exercise on fitday and calories on calorie king so i dont get confused with it.

I read over RealCdn's post, and I agree! Anne is my healthy weight loss hero and I missed the part of your post about your exercise.

I was 'stuck' about a month ago and my trainer and doctor both suggested I exercised a bit too much (I'm nuts about bicycling), said to cut a few days of cardio out a week and to focus more on weights. I complied and lost 7 pounds that week.

Why not experiment and drop some of the aerobic sessions that take place after your epic walks? Just to see what happens. I don't know your pace, it looks like you don't mess around and I'd bet you're going at a good clip - 120-180 minutes of walking seems like plenty of exercise in itself for a day.

Cut yourself a little slack and see what happens, it couldn't hurt and likely will help!

amouse - I like the 40/30/30 idea, and I think the shake up it gives your body might be just the ticket.

I wanna add that I :love: the way you talk... :D
