I'm back, and I've gained

  • Hi ladies and gents. Well, I'm back home from vacation, and I've gained back 6.5 lbs. Could be worse, and I'm treating it has part of the journey, and I refuse to get down on myself or get discouraged. Still, I want this to be a lifestyle change, and when I do on vacation, I want to stick to the smart choices I make at home. But now it is simply time to get on track, and get on with a happy life. It was rather painful moving my ticker, however. Just thought I would post to own up to the community - we will have good times and bad, but when we do fall off the wagon, we should get back on! Good luck all!
  • Get back on the horse and start riding I have fallen off a couple of times but I set my mind to get back on track. Good luck!
  • Vacations are tough! I love your mindset though. Don't get down on yourself, that ticker will be moving the other way soon
  • Thanks guys!!!!
  • Kudos to you for owning up to it. Keep that great positive attitude and I'm sure it'll be off again in no time.

  • I've been there too Audrey. I gained back 16 pounds after a crazy rebellious eating streak that lasted for 3 months. I think at some point, those of us who are committed to losing our extra weight know when its time to get focused again. I think the worst part about gaining weight is that you just feel so defeated by it. But you live, you learn and you start to feel so much better once you see it coming off again. You're back. Thats all that matters.
  • 6.5 pounds on vacation is not too bad, especially if you had cocktails and higher sodium foods. Hopefully some of it is just fluid retention! Keep the great attitude. I have let a few pound set back turn into 50 pounds before...then what a drag that is.

You can get that turned around in no time! Don't give up...
  • You guys are amazing! Thank you for all the help, and good luck on your own journeys!
  • Hi Audrey!
I think we all need to enjoy ourselves some while we are on vacation.
Hang in there and get right back on that journey and it should bounce right back off.. Good Luck!
