new to calorie counting

Hi all... i've been on the board for a couple months now. I lost 5lbs since I started on here. I was in the South Beach area. I've learned a lot from the South Beach, but do not like the restriction on fruits. I am more careful about getting whole grains, seeds, nuts, veggies and fruits and portion control and sugar control...
I weighed 156 this morning.
I'd like to be about 135-130.
I am aiming for 1900-2000 calories a day.
I exercise at least one hour each day, usually more. I generally have a 30min walk. Then I do a 4mile WATP video with one of those belts.. and then a tae bo video that's 45 mins long and an 8min abs video. I'll generally do at least the WATP and then add to that as my base.
Any advice? I've started a log on the fit day, which will help me keep my calories in check :D

It sounds like you're working out a lot. Also, you seem to be losing weight. Are you hoping to lose more rapidly? If so, then maybe you could consider cutting back on your calories a bit. I would suggest about 1600 calories to see some more dramatic results. You gotta do what works for you. Some people prefer to keep higher calories and lose slower, but be able to keep it off better than eating less calories and losing faster. I, on the other hand, need to see the numbers moving down on the scale in order to stay motivated. I think your workouts sound just great. Congrats on your progress thus far!

Thanks for the congrats. I want it slow..but not too slow...LOL.. I am working on keeping a regular caloric intake. I just started today and would like to see how it goes at 1900-2000 today I got about 2048... not too far off. I enjoy the exercising and I think if I ate any less, I would lose too quickly (for my taste) and be really hungry. Eating at this amount seems to be what I need right now. I started trying to lose weight last year sometime. I dropped from 190 to 150 and then up to 161. Then I decided to start trying again and I've lost about 5lbs now.
We'll see how I do this week with controlling my calories. I like putting it into Fitday as I can really see what I've eaten and how much I have left before I'm over.. and I can decide how far over I'd like to go...
