Crazy fluctuations and a problem solved!
Hey guys, i have experienced some crazy fluctuations recently and i know the majority of it was water weight as far as i know. I shall start from a week tomorow. So, on saturday i weighed in as 229 which meant i reached my goal. By sunday morning i was weighing in at 234 which was really disheartening but still, i carried on, went for three small jogs this week, did a pre-weight day tonight and it said 226.5, now i know for sure that my bloating is caused by eating too much dairy as i haven't been having a daily yoghurt! :carrot:
Only thing is, i've been finding it hard to log my calories so i haven't in about 2 weeks as i'm so busy at the moment with lessons and exams and stuff. What do you guys thing i should do? I really like counting calories, do you think keeping a small notebook on me and just noting everything i eat down then recording it in the evening is a good idea? Thanks very one! |
Yes, keep a notebook and write everything down, then log when you get home. As time goes on - you will know the calories for all the foods you eat by heart and will make it much easier for you.

I use the notebook method and it works very well.

On any given day I may have a peice of scrap paper in my pocket with info I need to add to my healthy living journal. Everything from what I ate for lunch, to going on an unexpected walk with a friend, to what I was feeling or experiencing when I almost gave in to temptation. I keep all this in my journal. It's simply too easy to forget things.

Okay! I shall go and buy a little pocket notebook today! Yoghurt causes my bloating. I had a bit of one after about a week of not having any and i'm bloated this morning.

Hey FakeFrowns! I find that products like yogurt and kefir can bloat me also. But it's temporary, and those foods are good for other reasons. Still, I tend to limit kefir since I especially notice bloating with that product.

ok new here and kind of diet retarted - are you all carrying a notebook to write down what you eat so you can keep track of calories??? Is that really helpful??? :o
|
theycallmemom ... yes. Some folks track in online programs like fitday or the dailyplate and some track in a notebook with pencil and a guide book.
