I usually post here and there on the 20-somethings board, but I've been calorie counting more and more and I need all the help I can get, so I need to start reading/posting here too!

I am using The Daily Plate to log my calories and fitness - My name there is the same as here if anyone else uses it...
I'm 25, a nurse, moving across the country with my fiance in a little over a month to Boston... he eats whatever he wants (bag of chips for supper) and doesn't gain weight. It's SO hard to eat healthy with him around! He is very supportive, but let me tell ya, it's so hard to sit there eating a chicken breast and veggies while he has a whole pizza to himself. Not to whine too much, but sometimes life isn't fair! :P
Right now I'm trying to stick to under 2000 calories and workout most days of the week. Once I can get eating healthier (less junk food!), then I'll lower my calories. My weight is actually about 8 lbs higher than my ticker, but I haven't changed it yet, and on TDP it says I need to eat 2000 or so to lose 1 lb per week. But we'll see!

I've been running lately, I have the Nike + (which is AWESOME for anyone interested!!!) and I plan on jogging and lifting my legs every other day... and the other days walking or some other cardio and lifting my arms.
If anyone has some words of wisdom or tips to keep me from giving up in a month? That seems to be my pattern... I will do sooo well and then just get sick of counting calories, working out and eating healthy and go back to my terrible habits. I really don't want to fall back into that!
Thanks everyone!!!
