Hello...shy you can get an egg separtor from pampered chef. they have a website. I think it is about 6.50. I use it and love it...i also love all my pampered chef stuff.

Tinky ~ It really is a fantastic program as long as you follow it. My biggest problem is weekends and stress eating and they have been all my life. If I could get those two things under control things would be good.

VENT: You don't have to read this I just need to send it into outer space.

ODD is on the move again at being the biggest B in the world. Here is the situation. She is on public assistants, has two kids, no job. Father of the oldest is in prison so doesn't pay anything. Father of second won't get a job because he is wanted and because she won't start a child support case against him she is getting kicked off public assistance for the second time, the last time she wouldn't go get a job instead she got pg again. So, now she has no income at all starting this month. Her heat was shut off last week and she refuses to go to places to ask for help, she wants me to pay it $500, I don't think so. We bought her a trailer house to live in back in October because she was kicked out of low income housing for not following their rules ($90 a month rent/heat and still didn't pay it). Since October she has not paid one single bill by herself, well maybe once but I am doubting it. My Mom and I have paid all her bills for the last 2 years and she takes her money and blows it. She has been claiming she is only getting $200 a month but I know it is a big fat lie and even if she did only get $200 she isn't paying any of her bills. Now, her heat is shut off, her water is about ready to be shut off. I paid that for the past 3 months worth of water bills, over $110 dollars and its still behind. I paid up her electric last month to prevent shut off and paid her lot rent.

Now, I am the bad guy because I don't have $500 to pay her gas to get it turned back on, $40 to pay on her water and $215 for her lot rent. Its my fault she is going to be homeless, OH and my GS because he supposedly lost her mailbox keys I really don't know what difference that makes but according to her its his fault. Its my fault she may have her kids taken away. Its all my fault according to her. Lets see, No, she better go look in the mirror and at that worthless piece of you know sitting on the couch. Oh and since Dec. she has been talking about selling the place we bought her because she can't afford it or its not good enough. Those are the two reasons. So now she is using this as a reason to sell it and get the cash. Let me see money in my pocket or a place to live. Thats right lets choose the cash. We refuse to help her anymore and hopefully she can figure something out because I can't and I am tired of her using my GS as blackmail.

Yesterday, for some reason I knew things were going to go worse than normal, I sensed it. I started crying when it came time to take my GS home. Just a few tears and I told him I loved him but I did. Now today she said we will see when you get to see him again. Yep, there she goes again. More or less give me $800 or you will never see your GS again. I don't have it. That is almost my hole check and I have to have our propane filled which is $500.

I know its not my fault but my fault or not I feel like crap inside. I am worried about my grandkids and where they are going to sleep/live. To tell you the truth if it wasn't for the kids I could careless if she was homeless, she has ruined anything I might feel for her with this type of behavior since she was 15 yrs old, before that but she was a kid but still behaved the same way. I feel like running to the bathroom and throwing up. I don't feel like eating and I wonder if the sun will shine again. I am just beside myself but I guess she is going to have to hit below rock bottom before she even thinks about trying to crawl out of the hole she is creating. 20 years old and still behaving like a 15 yr old, her BF is 22.

Don't feral cats have to be kept away from others? I was watching Animal Cops once and they had a house full of feral cats and were having a hard time placing them because the are very territorial and don't get along with most other domestic animals. They are sooo wrong on that show, so often, that I just stopped watching it.

1) In the "wild" some cats live territorial, lives. 2) However many form "clowders" and families similar to how lions live with a male tom or toms (usually brothers or grew up together) over them. 3) When cats are fixed and there is enough food, most territorial issues go away. They may have little "cat fights" simply because one doesn't like another and wants it to go away, but that's not necessarily territorial--it's "I don't like you!" My cat, Chryseis LOVES other cats, and most cats love her back...she's just so adorable. Bastet loves most cats and most animals in general, but she is also a "velcro" cat and if she could attach herself to my hip, she'd be happy. lol

When I get enough posts, I want to post a video of me "tickling" one of my cats...I start off kissing his chest and belly, then start tickling him...he's especially ticklish on his elbow (clueless as to why) and I think it's funny to watch him purr and holler. LOL

I didn't like exercise when I weighed 127lbs, so I doubt that will change. Doesn't mean I won't exercise--just that I'll be miserable every second of it. LOL I'm better off DOING something--like metal detecting while I walk.

GrammyL, did you know that you can take her to court and ask for custody? Many people think that only child welfare can do that, but they are wrong. (I was a child abuse investigator for 7 years for the state of Georgia.) Get a lawyer, prove what you have said in court (you can also have Child Protection Services Records supenoed to prove she has a history of this.)

Also, you can work with CPS in anonymity to get the children--she doesn't have know anything till court--and even then CPS can just "suggest" to the judge that you get custody. If you go this way, the state will pay for it all, however you risk the child going into a foster--BUT almost always, if there is family able to take the child, the child stays in the family. You have more power than you think you do. Of course if you are in a blue state, the chances aren't so good--they'll leave children in **** holes--but if you are in a red state, you've got a LOT better chance.

I need to be told what to eat and when. In calorie counting we do have freedom and it is wonderful but freedom comes with a price and that price is the opportunity to make poor choices and I do I think that the way to have a handle on this, is that even though we do have freedom, we need to be 1) plan the day's intake 2) Plan the TIMES you will eat, 3) make good choices/don't overdo fat or carbs. Then it's easier to stay in control.

Gaia ~ Thank you SOOO much for all the advise. I have been in contact before with CPA when she was homeless before with my oldest grandson living in the streets of a horrible city where shootings happen all the time. What they told me is first, they would have to try and catch up to her. Then even if they felt that the child wasn't being cared for properly they wouldn't take him just make her take classes on child care. If they felt the child was in eminent danger they might choose to temporarily take him but she would have every opportunity to get him back. Being homeless was not a reason to take a child from their parent. Grandparents rights are being challenged in this state also and we are losing.

6WBMO is the program I am on. Its called the Six Week Body Makeover by Michael Thurmond. When I follow I can lose a lot of weight fast and what I have lost on the program I have kept off because as soon as I start gaining it back I restart it. I just haven't been able to keep my nose to the grind stone to get it all off. In the past 3 years I have lost 60 lbs and kept it off. I have been hovering in the 170's now for 6 months and I am ready to get moving again. I like the program, it works but I don't like giving up dairy. After this weekend I am wondering if I have a true allergy to it though. I ate dairy Saturday night, some frozen custard, and my face was puffy the next morning. I had cheese last night with dinner and my face was puffy. The only reason I noticed it is because I was completely dairy free last week until Saturday night. I will have to see what my face looks like tomorrow.

I am still calorie counting but with structure. I can't really explain it but it helps me make the right choices. It doesn't allow for highly processed carbs, which should be a natural choice but not one I chose to me. The program has taught me to eat 6 small meals a day that are balanced carb and protein wise. It is also low sodium and low fat. I think that is why dairy is eliminated.

My big down falls is life as far as food are pizza, cheese, reeses peanut butter cups, peanut butter fudge and frozen custard.

Thanks for the site. It is a terrific site, they have all kinds of great things. I found a few different sites, even found egg separators for a couple of dollars lol the shipping is of course 3 times the amount of the product.

Shy~I just use the egg shells to separate. It can be kinda tricky, but once practiced it's super easy. You can also use your hands. You cup one hand and put the egg in it and then open your fingers up just enough for the white to slide through. I learned that from Jamie Oliver on his "Naked Chef" show.

I have some good news. My sister is pregnant! Yay!

Grammy~ Be strong! Even if you had the money, I think allowing her to hit bottom is necessary. I'd talk to a lawyer/cps to see what your options are to get the babies out of the situation. Regardless, remember that you can only do what you can do.

That is what I do when I am not doing anything fancy but when I am baking I take no chances. I have a few recipes that you add egg whites as you go along.

My down falls are: "brown dumplings" (dumplings made on the juice of fresh pork instead of chicken); fried round steak or Fried Chicken with gravy over buttered white rice; Cracklin' bread, slab bacon with tomatoes and rice; fried "lace" cornbread, baked corn with butter and bacon, baked "mac and cheese", dressing made with my Mom's recipe--I don't like any other dressing; Cheese grits and fried catfish; in other words FOOOOODDDD... I'm not a big "sweet" or "baked goods" person...it's the "down home country cooking" that has made me as big as a wall. But I love yeast breads!!

Gaia~Sounds like you are from the south. I love mac n cheese too, plus grits except I have them at dinner and call them polenta. I know that's blasphemy to a southerner, but I do love corn mush! Oh and bread can be a problem for me too. I make all our bread and normally I can stay away, but last night I made a new recipe, so of course I had to try it. Oh well...

Tinky~If all goes well this will be the second living child for my sister. I have a 4 year old niece. She had a troubled pregnancy 2 years ago. So we are all on top of the world about the pregnancy, but somewhat holding our breath as well. I think everything will go well this time. My sister is older (38) so the risks are a bit higher, but I believe everything will work out wonderfully this time.

I need to get my booty in gear! I'm up 4lbs! Yikes! I'm going to try and be really good today. We are going to a concert tonight (Ben Folds and Ben Lee) so I will be occupied enough to not eat after dinner. Then tomorrow is our anniversary, we haven't decided if we are going out or staying in though. I have tomorrow off, so I think I'll try riding my bike some more tomorrow. I need to get into shape and get off these 4 lbs!

What made ya think I was from the south? My typing doesn't have a southern accent....could it be the--foood? I bought some Polenta once at the store and it sat in my fridge for about 3 weeks--I really didn't know what to do with it. How long is it good? I threw it away. I think "any time" is a good time for Grits! Especially with cheddar cheese--or red-eye gravy or plain with bacon--or with gravy from chicken or steak--or just with butter....mmmmm grits ..... I love Breads, too. I love the yeast rolls at Ryans.
