Light String cheese (60cals), Fat free yogurt (100cal), Special K Granola Bar (90cal). This is pretty much all the snacking I do. I also eat the 100cal packs sometimes when I want something sweet or salty. I have 100cal cheese nips and 100cal choc animal crackers (taste like choc teddy grahms) these satisfy my cravings pretty well. Just some ideas!!
Oh, and quaker rice cakes in different flavors. They have cheddar, ranch, chocolate, popcorn flavor (I think) and some other flavors depending on where you shop. I eat the cheddar and choc ones personally. They're good for snacking.
I didn't even think of rice cakes! THAT IT! I am goin to the store tonight! I am getting sushi (oh yea 450 calories for a meal) and rice cakes! and I think I'll get the cheese too! I really try to stay away from the crackers and cookie stuff even in the 100 calorie snack packs - although i do keep the chocolate ones on hand at times. Its that pre-period munchies that just get me!
I snack lots on a prettty strict calorie budget. Snacking often keeps me from getting too hungry and helps me to stay on plan. Perhaps my meals are lighter calories then yours.
One of my favorites is Danon Light and Fit yogurt - 60 calories. I add in 1/4 cup of Fiber One cereal for added crunch and nutrition for only 30 cals more. Much more satisfying then rice cakes IMO with WAAAAY more nutrition.
I also like to munch on grape tomatoes. Frozen grapes. Blueberries, strawberries and/or raspberries.
I love cucumber salad as well. I make a bunch at a time and snack on it throughout the day.
Pudding is surprisingly low in calories. Add some chopped banana to chocolate pudding for a tasty snack.
Couscous with chopped tomatoes and cucumber, seasoned with lemon juice and some olive oil, as well as salt and pepper, topped with Feta cheese. Due to the cheese and oil, you couldn't have much of this.
Ganache. I'm kidding, right? But, I happened to have some of this ultra-decadent stuff around that I'd used for a cake. I'd eat like one tablespoon, slowly, and the richness satisfied any sweet cravings. Now, for nutrition or satiety, it's not really great. I once bought some over-the-top chocolatey ice cream. I could only eat a tiny scoop, so it was better for me than the stuff I normally buy where I could eat the whole box! The same trick can be used with well-seasoned or spicy stuff. So, maybe a blackened chicken breast tenderloin? Or the same tenderloin seasoned like hot wings? Salsa?
Peanut butter on a piece of toast? If you're skimpy with the PB, you could get close to 100 calories. Mine I usually consider 160. It is very filling. If you used celery instead of bread, you could bring it down a lot. There have even been some claims that peanut putter is great for diets.
A long time ago, I used to make some quick "cookie dough". I'd melt some butter with quick oats, then throw in some chocolate chips. It wouldn't bake up, but the oats would be filling and the chocolate chips would help sweet tooth. And, oats are great for you.
One thing to keep in mind is nutrition. You're on a really low calorie diet. You've really got to ensure you're getting proper nutrition in your calories. So, some of my ideas might not be ideal.

For me, high protein snacks seem to be the best. They fill me up quickly and they stop my cravings. I like:
~ 1-2 slices of lite Swiss or Jarlsberg (it's also a swiss) - 50 cal/9g protein per slice
~ protein shake - about 180 cal/16 g protein per serving (you can half the serving)
~ ricotta + 1 tsp honey (good snack when I crave something sweet, but still aim for my protein) - about 60 cal/6g protein per serving
~ Luna Bar
~ tangerines/cuties and plums (no protein there, but sweet and full of fiber)
I eat alot of fruit for snacks which is great but it gets old after awhile. I was looking for things that would be under 100 calories but you can eat alot of them. That way I am feeling like I am eating alot. Its that pre-period time that is the hardest for me! I am looking up your cucumber salad now,, thats one i didn't think of but i bet its really low cal!
Thanks guys I really appricate all the suggestions
I like onion dill flavored Ry Krisp. I take 2 of them and divide 1 wedge of laughing cow light onion or light herb and garlic flavor between them. It is a nice pick me up.
I happen to like cottage cheese. So some FF cottage cheese with 1/2 C blueberries and a little bit of All Bran is a nice snack, too.
-Thinly sliced cucumbers, I actually use kirbys
-cover 1/2 way with vinegar and add some water
-add Splenda to taste
You can also make cucumber, red onion and tomato salad. Dice all of them, add either lemon or vinegar, some salt, pepper and a bit of oregano. Very good.
Another good snack - 1/2 cup of Fiber One cereal, 10 chocolate chips, 10 raisins.
Pickles! After reading this thread, I went to get my daughter some pickles (which I don't eat) and looked at the calories. FIVE calories per spear. (There are Vlassic Kosher Dill spears.) You could eat the whole jar and not have 100 calories! I may have to reconsider eating pickles!
