Question Need some advice...

My calorie goal is 1800-1900 calories a day, usually I hit around 1815-1820. I exercise 6 days a week and average about 400-500 calories burned per workout, sometimes up to 800 (if I do 30 min cardio then an hour class at the gym). I have a heartrate monitor to calculate the calories burned so those numbers are pretty accurate. So if I subtract my calories burned from calories eaten I am really around 1300-1400 calories and sometimes under 1000. I'm losing weight ok but I feel like it could be a little faster. Do you think I should be eating a little more to make up for all the exercise? I don't want my calories to be too low and be the reason my loss has slowed.
Thanks!

If it's working, I wouldn't change a thing.

I know you're feeling impatient we all do.

I admire your work. You're doing wonderfull things. You even hit your goal early. Enjoy this trend a while longer. There may come a time when you need to tweak things but just right now ... you're doing very well.

I agree with Susan whole-heartedly. If it's working, don't change it just yet. I recently had to INCREASE my calories (a very strange concept for me! ) because of the amount of exercise I do.

As Susan mentioned, the time may come to tweak, but it probably isn't just yet.

My goal is 1200 and I usually land somewhere between 12-1300. Sometimes closer to 1400. I aim low that way it gives me a little wiggle room. I also work out. I feel hungry sometimes but it's less and less now that I know my stomach (the organ, not that fat) is shrinking. It seems to be working for 2lbs a week loss. But everyone is different!!

From what I've seen in other threads the general consensus is to not count calories burned towards how much you eat. In other words, you eat what you eat and you burn what you burn, think of them as two separate things.

I know it's hard sometimes to see the scale move down so slowly, but a healthy rate of loss is 1-2 lbs per week.

I'm a bit taller than you are and a bit heavier. I eat about 1200 calories a day. I did find when I did weight watchers a few years ago that aerobics and lifting tend to slow down the weight loss. It may be due to building muscle. How you can tell is by doing measurements. I also found that most flour and sugar products sabotage me, cheese is also a food I avoid. Bran seems to be okay. Coffee is another problem. The weight loss now is much much faster than it was with weight watchers. I would do measurements as well as scale I think its more accurate, and less suceptible to monthly fluctuations.
