Hello, My name is Nikki and I to am a salter...:):(:)
|
My mom is a nurse and has a history of hypertension...She uses sea salt because the doctor told her it has less sodium than table salt. I would hope that what a doctor says is true! LOL...Who knows! Hope that helps1

Sea salt and kosher salt have less sodium per volume, but the same amount per weight. Since most people measure salt with a spoon (and not on a scale) it does have less sodium then regular salt measured the same way.
Salt is not evil. It is a necessary part of a healthy diet when used in moderation. Yes, Americans consume too much salt, but most of that is due to eating a lot of processed foods. If you make most of your meals at home I wouldn't worry about it. If you had known salt sensitivity I'd say that it'd be more important to monitor it. |
