Lost 30, then gained 20, now I'm back to CC

  • Ladies,

I had a wonderful time counting calories for about a year and lost 30 lbs! Then I slacked off, stopped recording my calories in FitDay.com, and then slowly but surely, the weight came back and as I fell off the Calorie-Counting wagon. Let this be a reminder to everyone! Stick with it & don't slack off! Otherwise, your hard work (like mine) will go to waste.

HOWEVER, I am now back and determined to start again to get these 20 lbs back off! I know it's possible & I hope we can all support eachother like what I was used to a while ago on 3FC.com (such a great site!)

I'm determined to succeed once again and keep it off!

  • Always happy to see someone come on over to calorie counters! Good luck--you can do it!

  • Thanks!!! I can't wait to count calories again! It was the best "dieting" experience I've ever had and the ONLY thing that has ever worked. Thanks again for the warm welcome back.
  • Welcome back

I did pretty much the same thing but gained back it all plus more. Although I would not say that I slacked off - I just let life get in the way.

The good news is that we know we can be successful now it is just a matter of buckling down and sticking with the plan.

  • Welcome One great thing about calorie counting. You don't need to wait for your food to arrive, you don't need to even go grocery shopping (though it does help to clean out a few cupobards ) - you can get right back OP today! Do you use a software program to track your calories? Two things that help me a great deal - My Fitday software and my digital food scale. They make this journey Sooooo much easier
  • Welcome back D2S!! Missed you!
  • Oh yeah - calorie counting is the only thing that has worked for me as well. I suspect though that I will be doing it for all years and years and years to come. The second I stop, out the window goes my accountability and my portion control. Can't have that, so yup - I'll be counting for the rest of my born days, or until I'm somewhere well in the eighties. At that point, well, all bets are off.

Glad to have you back. Good luck.
