Thank you very much for your great advice :)

Of course I didn't show my nutritionist my plan. I just met her, she gave me guidelines and said I should increase fibers in my diet to feel full. She also said that I should do portion control. But she left it up to me to decide what to eat. I will try to go and see her again next week.

However, I really am excited about starting and losing weight. I will try to plan along what I understand from your diet plans. Thank you very much.

ease -- Typically when they say make half your food veggies, they mean that if you look at a plate, 1/2 should be veggies, 1/4 protein, and 1/4 whole grains.

Sounds like you're starting to get a good sense of what to do. I do think it's very possible -- you just don't want to starve yourself!!

Read as much as you can here on 3FC - there are many, many successful calorie counters that have lost weight successfully (and even more importantly kept it off). They are such an inspiration and source of help and information for the rest of us!

You can do this - calorie counting is really easy, flexible, inexpensive, and can be done for a lifetime. Come back and post often - let us know how you are doing :)
