Hurray for you!!!! That's awesome!

I'm losing steadily at 1800/day. Not too hard to manage.

I have to say that I just started tracking my calories and I can't come close to that. I generally stay around 1475-1500. What are you guys eating? My daily plate says I'm supposed to be eating 1845 cals per day. Other sites I've been to say 1475-1560. I'm not sure what to follow. But yesterday I tracked my calories and came in at 1415. I will say I'm not eating grains (I gave them up for a couple weeks). I'll bring back sweet potatoes and non wheat and gluten free bread and fruits. I'm sure that will increase my daily intake but could anyone post a menu so I can compare?

Thanks,

This is so great to see. I started losing weight at 1800-2000 per day, at a high weight of 186. Now I've cut down to 1500-1700 and I'm losing more like 1 lb. per week, which is fine with me...I'd be too hungry to stick with it if I cut more!

Kmac, I don't use daily plate so I have no easy way to post a menu. But in a nutshell I avoid trans fats (partially hydrogenated oils) and high fructose corn syrup as completely as possible, and steer clear of heavily processed foods containing lots of preservatives, artificial sweeteners, or sodium.

Also Kmac do you exercise?

kmac1196 10-29-2007 05:22 PM

Yes, I do cardio (high intensity interval training) on Mon, Wed, Fri and weight lifting Tues, thurs and Saturday. I take Sunday off. I don't eat anything processed either. Still, it seems high. I just started tracking so I'll see.

I've just started tracking my calories and I noticed it's really easy to drink them! Today was my first day but I managed to stay under my allowable cals.

kmac1196 10-30-2007 06:48 AM

Okay..yesterday, I only got 1165!!! What's up with that? I think I ate normal....can I post a menu to get your opinions?

Rafaella 10-30-2007 09:44 AM

Of course... post it!

Way to go Nursechef!! sexywantslim...yeah, I found that out the hard way about drinking calories when I first tried dropping pounds, now I pretty much stick to water so I can have more food to eat!
