umm... is this okay?

Hi,

I ate a frozen pizza today... THE WHOLE THING!
It was thin crust with cheese and veggies and there were 780 cals in the entire pie.
I had 1570cals for the whole day and I worked out for about an hour. Has anyone else done this before and still managed to loose? I'm just a little concerned about the amount.

Thanks!

Sure we have. We all know that that's not the best source of food nutrients but we all do things like that sometimes. Don't do that everyday!

I once stuck within my calorie count while eating two donuts!

1500 cals is fine ... just try to make it a little better food most of the time ;)

Yes, I've done that too. But it's not my preferred method of eating, so when I do, I try to figure out why I did it, and maybe see if I can make it so I don't do it again, at least not in an out-of-control way.

I'm sure if you stick with the amount of calories alloted for your day, you should be ok. However, when you eat different foods and have the same amount of calories, you should account for the fat content and carbs ( if you count carbs). Let us know if you loose, gain or stay the same. Good Luck!

I recently discovered that if I portion out my meal and immediately put away the leftovers, before I even sit down to eat, I "forget" about them and am not tempted to eat more than what I had planned to eat. It's been a great trick for me! I've also discovered the trick of freezing things. I made some great special-treat cookies a couple months ago and froze them and would only take out two at a time as a special dessert. Out of sight - out of mind!

Hope that helps!

Kara

You'll be fine. Everybody eats the entire pizza, or a pint of ice cream or whatever once in a while. If you stayed within calorie goals, you will still see weight loss.

As others have said, of course it's not healthy to do every day. But occasionally - no problem!

If you NEED that pizza, I'd recommend the Lean Cuisine brick oven pizzas. The garlic chicken is 340 calories. Soooo good.
But heck yeah, who HASNT eaten the entire pizza?

The good thing is, is that you caught the binge-and stayed within your calories for the rest of the day, and exercised. The problem happens when you eat an entire pizza, and say "Well, the day is ruined ANYHOW..." and eat more junk/whatever on top of that, and skip the workout as well.

:)

Ha! I just did this tonight! Oink! (I have all kinds of excuses ready to go for it, too. ;) ) I'm not going to beat myself up over it but I doubt I'll do it again for another 6 months or so. LOL

You know, I think what Aphil said is really important. Really, this is a big accomplishment! Sure you ate that pizza - but you didn't go overboard because of it! That's excellent - most people can't do that. That's a very important skill to have.

Hi Ladies,

I haven't been online in forever. I wanted to thank everyone for their responses. I didn't really have a weight change due to the pizza so thats good.

As always, your support is very much appreciated!
