fish and chip shop calories?
 

what would be the average amount of calories in a portion of chips from a fish and chip shop and a veggie burger be? this is one of my favourite "meals" and would die if i had to stop having it (seriously i dont get cravings for choc or sweet stuff just veggie burger and chips) so any body got some sort of guess as to how many calories there are?

Your best bet would be to measure the amount and then use a calorie counter like calorieking.com or you can ask them if they have calorie counts. Also the veggie burger would vary depending on what type of veggie burger it is and the condiments.

The veggie burger will also vary depending on what type of bun they use as well. I love veggie burgers too and have found that they can vary between 250-400 calories (possible more~ I never get cheese or mayo and I make sure they don't butter the bun.) I would do as Nelie suggests and look at calorieking.com. They should have a count for the chips too, but it may be under french fried potatoes (I think that's what you call chips in the UK?)
