Carb Grams
Morning Everyone,
I am a calorie counter and am feeling that my carb intake is on the high side (240 grams/day) and wanted to see how many carbs you eat in a typical day. I know that the good and bad carbs get lumped together this way, but I need a number to shoot for. If I cut down to 200 grams/day is that too low? I eat 1600-1800 calories/day. I workout 6 days/week and burn an average of 400 calories/workout. Most of my carbs come from lean meats, dairy, veggies and fruits with very few coming from junk foods. Thanks :) |
If most of your carbs are coming from good sources, and you are getting ample protein, I honestly wouldn't worry about it too much. I eat 1300-1600 cals a day and average 200g of carbs.

I wouldn't worry about it either, if your carbs are from whole grains, fruit, veggies, etc. and not from Pop Tarts and Froot Loops. :D

I average 152 grams a day, and that's 41% of my calories. I do well with less of the carbs, but everyone is different. Still, I wouldn't worry about 200 grams a day being too low. Jay |
I eat about 145g carb a day :)
