My package of Quaker oats says that 1/3 of a cup is a serving (of 120 calories). Is that 1/3 dry or 1/3 cooked?
I weighed it one day, and it was almost 200 grams (cooked). Now, I use a bit of extra water with mine, which would of course add extra weight. A calorie count site said that 200 grams of oatmeal is 180 calories.
I know it's only a 60 calorie discrepancy, but I'm wondering which is more accurate? I eat oatmeal for breakfast every day, so I'd like to be logging it as properly as I can.
Thanks!
