But for something that isn't going to be particularly filling or healthy, I'd really like it to be fewer calories. Seriously, I only eat 1500 calories per day--100 calories puts a serious dent in the quantity of food I can eat. And, although I don't think I'd have a problem stopping at one pack, eating just half a pack is so not going to happen. ;)

Jumping back in b/c I recently saw the Hostess packs again and was thinking about this. I get that you want a lower cal pack...For my day-to-day it's a perfect snack size & calorie amount, but I get that everyone's different. Didn't know if everyone knew that there are three cupcakes per pack...I think they're really cute...and if you really wanted to, you could eat one or two of the cupcakes and save one for later (if you had the restraint!) ;) Yum. Early in the morning and I'm already hungry for my afternoon snack, hehe.

I ate alot of the 100 packs when I first started my new way of life. I think they are a useful tool for learning portion control. "Oh, so that's what 100 calories looks like!

My main issue is the price. I can afford them. And maybe 50 cents for a snack isn't a bad deal. But even so, it irks me that they stuff is so much more expensive than the regular non-portioned equivelents. My newspaper had a breakdown on it. I don't have it before me anymore, but if I remember correctly they showed that the 100 packs comes to around $1.50 an ounce, while the regular stuff was .25 cents an ounce. Ok, I do have a bad memory and am pulling numbers probably out of close to thin air, but there was this sort of gap.

But still, I just feel ripped off knowing I am paying someone that much to "mommy" my eating habits. It's irrational, I know. And yes, I did try the hostess and they are very, very good. I just can't make myself buy them.

I have tried the Hostess and they are alot smaller than I thought they would be. I know that they are only 100 calories but I ate 2 (cupcakes) of them and couldn't even tell I ate 1. I have decided that I will not be eating the Hostess anymore. But the other 100 calories ones like the oreo and the chips ahoy those I love and I ususally only eat them about once or twice a week.

I love the Hostess Cupcake 100 packs! I finished off my box a couple of weeks ago. I only try to eat them when I am absolutely craving something sweet. Otherwise I hate to waste the calories.

I love the 100 cal. packs, I buy them all the time! I pack them for lunch and have them as a before bed snack. It curbs my sweet tooth...I love the Oreos, Lorna Doone cookies and the Hostess cupcakes. Yesterday I found a new Rice Krispie bar that was chocolate and peanut butter for 100 cal for each individually wrapped bar. Very good.
