  • Hi Everyone,

I am new at this and am not sure if this is how I post. I am inspired by a lot of your stories and have decided that I need to get smart with my weight. I am a yo yo dieter and could stand to lose a good 100 lbs, but at this time I will settle for a good 50lbs. I excercise regularily and have been on Weight Watchers so many years I shoulds own shares. I just recently purchased Bob Green's Best Life, but I need a chef to cook some of those meals. i just don't have the time. All I want is a good relaible program that works. Anyone have any good suggestions? :
  • Welcome! I'm still fairly new here myself, just over one week. My suggestion is to just jump right in, 100%. I too have done the WW thing off and on for years, I'm a lifetime member, but I didn't feel the desire this time around. So I'm doing calories and exercise. Get an account with fitday if you don't have one already, and track those calories and be 100% honest. If you want to see honest, check out my calories for Jan 31...lol.

Set up one of those trackers too, they are fun. Heck, just have fun with what's offered at this site.

I haven't seen that book you've mentioned, but I'm sure there are great ideas in it, use the things that work for you, and blow off the fancy recipes, or save them for the weekend if you enjoy cooking.

I look forward to seeing more posts from you.
  • Yuo are going to get a lot of people telling you that calorie counting and exercise is the way to go (especially since you posted your question in the calorie counters forum) ....I wanna be first to say it worked for me! And it's because it's something I expect to be able to stay on the rest of my life. It's a lifestyle, not a diet....

To me, a successful plan is a personal thing, different stuff works for different people.

What about WW wasn't working for you? Maybe if we know more about you we can troubleshoot a little. What kind of exercise are you doing?
