  • Anyone?
  • If I weren't afraid of surgery, doctors, and meds like I am, I would consider having a few nips and tucks done after I lose all that I want to lose. But alas, I'm too chicken.
  • Once I am at goal, I would like to get my tummy done. It all depends how I look at that point. BUT a girlfriend just had her tummy done and the whole healing process looks so painful, so we shall see....I may chicken out.
  • Tummy tuck and Brazilian butt lift... moving that fat from the tummy to my backside in Dec 2014.

Already have 3 consultations scheduled in Nov 2013 and will have 2 more Dec 2013.

I figure if I'll be at goal around this Christmas and if I can maintain it will be an award for myself.
  • Cosmic is it ok if I pm you? I was wondering who you are going to
  • Go ahead....I'll have more info to share after the consultations though. I can give you names now. But make sure you do your own research as well
  • I went to a few doctors here in the SF Bay Area and am planning a tummy tuck for late January. I know the recovery is going to be hard - my mom is flying in from New Jersey to help me through it.

I can't live with the extra skin on my stomach - it is a pain to deal with when exercising and clothes don't fit me right!
  • I had a brachioplasty (arm lift) in July. I'm in Massachusetts and it cost just under 5K (includes hospital fee, surgeon's fee and anthesiologist fee).

Having A LOT more done, but not til next year.
  • I cannot have cosmetic surgery, but if I could, I would love to have some work done where the arm meets the body. (Like the arm pit) I had a weird conglomeration of fat there that bothers me relentlessly.
  • MauiKai Have you considered one of those laser treatments, where the laser melts off the fat, but it is not surgery? A friend of a friend had it done on her arms and they are looking fabulous!
  • i would LOVE to have fillers done in my face because for some reason i really have a hard time with what i look like after so much weight loss but i doubt i'll able to come up with the $$
  • I had a lower facelift (really mostly to get rid of the turkey neck) and lower eyelids two years ago. Cost was about $12,000.

Just had a tummy tuck four weeks ago. Cost was $6,800 (incuding a $440 discount for being a frequent flier!).

Both done by Dr. Martin O'Toole in Pasadena, CA. Super happy with him, his staff, and my results.

I think I'm done now. It's not cheap and it's not easy. But I feel like for me, getting my skin issues taken care of was the last piece of the puzzle and I'm really glad I was able to do it.
  • Mlk58 how are you feeling after your TT. I'm planning on one 4/22/14

I was in the same situation. I had a TT done in Feb of 2013. It was difficult, costly, yet the best thing I have ever ever done for myself. I went thru a depression after dropping tons of weight, I still had skin, fat, stretch marks etc. I am not on that normally would do plastic surgery. I suffered from the pain of carrying around 10 lbs of skin hanging from my ab area, got constant infections under the flaps, couldn't find clothes that would fit my shape...and depressed for years after losing all that weight still hating the way I looked.

I would do it again in a second. I didnt have lipo, or any other things done. I ended up having to have the extensive surgery to repair several issues from abdominal prolapse and such I had the huge T incision. It was the scariest decision I made, but trusted the dr.

It was difficult physically but for so emotionally. I admit I also got the depression after surgery. You look at pics and want perfection..it doesn't happen. You don't come out looking like a model, just a better you. I am just learning that. I have never been comfortable with my body but now I don't hate it.

I had already been at my goal weight for years when I decided to do the surgery. This latest increase in weight has come from health problem, bad back and my own eating. While I have gained from 150 to 172, you don't see much change at all. I just wish I had real expectations when I had the surgery and due to the weight loss and the way my body was after it I don't have perfect summitry.
